Beaches
Views to Isle of Wight and Purbecks
Gardens (in the day only)
Walks on Hengistbury Head (worst thing is parking charges - used to be free in winter)
Bad
Shabby centre - used to be a really good shopping and eating place. Caters for students.
Useless council - it could be a better place/has so much potential/misspent funds - IMAX, Reef, no ice rink or public pool.
House prices - too high
Too many students (taking over the houses/HMOs)
Too many hens and stags
Violence in the centre at night at weekends
Boscombe - drug haven
Poole town centre
I could say London but I'll make it more to my immediate area of Walthamstow, north east London.
Good :
Excellent public transport connections.
The old part of the town is really pretty and has some decent pubs and restaurants.
An 'upcoming' area with a growing middle class means we're beginning to see nicer pubs, and cultural events happening.
Relatively low cost of housing.
Close to plenty of green spaces.
Bad :
Incompetent local council
High Street that needs to be demolished and started all over from scratch.
Large transient population means some streets are clogged with people's old junk when they can't be bothered to have it moved with them or have it disposed of in the correct manner when they move on.
Overrun with chicken takeaways, and grotty 'convenience' stores.
Good - Beautiful beaches and scenery
In places still a good community spirit
Bad - Mentality of people round here who think its still 1920s and if your family were wronged by someone 80 years ago then you will never be accepted
What people dont know they make up through boredom
Overrun by tourists in the summer
No jobs
No decent shops for 50miles
expensive petrol
Lots of supermarkets (4 Tescos (!)) & shops
Where I live the crime rate is non-existent as there are few youths, druggies & Eastern European benefit cheats..
It's quiet,neighbours mind their own business !
Worst
Highest % rate of unemployment in North Derbyshire.
Lot of terrible drivers who don't use indicators.
ASDA is only a small store for a large town, yet Sheffield has 4 big ASDA stores ! (Prefer ASDA to Tesco)
A really friendly place where people do stick together and help each other out
Despite the city's grim reputation, many of the outer suburbs are nice, low crime areas with some lovely countryside around
Beautiful parks
The Ridgeway - fantastic viewpoint across the Bristol Channel in one direction and up towards the Brecons in the other
Good rail links to other parts of the country
Bad
The run down half empty city centre plagued by drunks and beggars
Some of the horrible 1960s and 70s buildings and poor infrastructure (badly planned road systems and grotty underpasses) in the city centre which replaced some great old buildings
The general incompetence of the city council (regardless of political party) to fulfil any effective long-term planning
A string of regional planning decisions that have deliberately favoured Cardiff's economic health over Newport
Good - Beautiful beaches and scenery
In places still a good community spirit
Bad - Mentality of people round here who think its still 1920s and if your family were wronged by someone 80 years ago then you will never be accepted
What people dont know they make up through boredom
Overrun by tourists in the summer
No jobs
No decent shops for 50miles

Can I add that one to mine? Must be a North Wales thing
