Love's Comin' At Ya ~ Melba Moore
Saturday Love ~ Alexander O'Neal/ Cherrelle
Just Be Good To Me ~ SOS Band
Searching ~ Luther Vandross/ Change
The Last Film ~ Kissing The Pink
Drop The Pilot ~ Joan Armatrading
Gloria ~ Laura Branigan
Hey Little Girl ~ Icehouse
Friday Night, Saturday Morning ~ The Specials
Town Called Malice ~ The Jam
I've got an obscure one too. Keep on loving you by The Pinkies. It was the first single that I got for my new record player and my babysitter gave it to me. It was one of my most played songs up until accidentally losing all my vinyl collection in a move about 13 years ago.
Moonlight Shadow, by Mike Oldfield, featuring Maggie Reilly.
I never tire of hearing Maggie sing.
Yes! Have you got/heard the Cado Belle album? That's the group she was in during the 70s, it wasn't available for a long time, but now it's on itunes! :-)
From the 80s, she had a song out called 'Meanwhile Back At My Heart' which was lovely, and she's done recent music too, but people only seem to know her Mike Oldfield songs.
So many 80s songs to choose, don't laugh but I adore I'll Fly For You by Spandau Ballet
There's so, so many to choose from that I couldn't possibly pick just one, but here's a short list.
Ultravox - Vienna
OMD - Enola Gay
The Corgis - Everybody's Gotta Learn
David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes
Gary Numan - Are Friends Electric?
Duran Duran - Rio
Human League - Electric Dreams
Climie Fisher - Love Changes
Boy Meets Girl - Waiting For A Star To Fall
Go West - We Close Our Eyes
A Flock Of Seagulls - Wishing I Had A Photograph Of You
Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World
Pet Shop Boys - You Were Always On My Mind
There's many more including some that have been mentioned already, but they are the first to spring to mind.
Was going to say Steve Tyler/ Aerosmith but was beaten to it. You should have a wee listen to the Scorpions version of Drive by the Cars. Much as I loved the Cars I do prefer the Scorps.
Isn't It Midnight - Fleetwood Mac
There's the Girl - Heart
Calm Inside the Storm - Cyndi Lauper
Our Lips Are Sealed - The Go-Go's
Edge of Seventeen - Stevie Nicks
The Killing Moon - Echo & the Bunnymen
Rapture - Blondie
Private Dancer - Tina Turner
Comments
Yes, that's a great song.
Oh, that's a great song.
I also forgot Killing Joke (Love Like Blood), The Cult and The Jam for some reason. There are too many, really.
Great track from 1985 there!

I remember dancing to it at the school barbecue. It is stuck in my head forever. Good times.
Same title; different group: Keep On Lovin' You-REO Speedwagon.
Actually I liked a lot of 80s chart music up until the mid eighties and the advent of SAW. Will go for XTC's "Senses Working Overtime".
Making Plans For Nigel, by XTC, was one of my 80s classics!

I should not have been a 90s kid.
It's nice of Santigold to make a dubsteppish remake of Making Plans for the Direct Line adverts.
The 80's anthem for me!
Happy when it rains - Jesus and the mary chain
You spin me right round - Dead or Alive
And loads of other random ones as well but those are just the main ones.
She also did Trick Of The Light and To France, with Mike Oldfield.
It annoys me, when other people do the Moonlight Shadow vocals.
It's just not the same.
