Gareth. Beth is great but she was not so connected this week.

    Beth and Gareth:)

Both also showed ( last week and this week ) just how good they can skate without the aid of their partners.

Matt's was a good performance also, but he was already in front of Beth and Gareth when the programme started as he could actually skate a bit. Beth and Gareth were 'novices' in the beginning, compared to Matt.

Samia had a great performance - I voted for her :)

Sylvain had a great performance, along with his 'prop' Samia:D;)

Samia wasn't a prop and their performance was good. Samia needs to work on her solo skating.

In my opinion she was. He may as well have been dancing with the ribbon, or perhaps not, as you have to let the ribbon go at some point:D

    Each to their own.

I see two people have voted for Joe as the best performer of the night.

    Should have gone to SpecSavers.

    Not in my opinion.

Their skate had a great love theme with the magnificent build up and I think it would be very difficult for Sylvain to match that by himself

It was an improvement on last week and if she keeps going like that she'll do well in the competition.

You voted for her because the programme had a great love theme?

I am happy that I agree with the judges, afterall, they do know best.

Sorry, when did I say that?

I said their skate had a great love theme, with the song and build up etc....

If you had asked who I thought skated the best I would have said Beth, but who performed the best? Gareth.

Can I ask why, what did you see that I'm obviously not?!

Not just you. I think some people just warmed to her from the start or were Corrie fans and all they see is the nice lines and that she can look good when lifted about  I don't think her performances the last 2 weeks have been good even in that way - last week as she had to do some solo skating and I watched closely last night and she was messy getting out of some of the holds. They're looking through rose-tinted specs.

Beth skated the best but I preferred Gareth's routine, it was much smoother. I don't think they should have had Beth doing the headbanger for a romantic theme, it doesn't work.

It was only an improvement insomuch as her solo performance last week was very poor. If you watched closely last night she was quite messy getting out of a couple of holds. Looking good in hold and in lifts doesn't constitute good skating.

Gareth and Robin. It was really moving and he'd obviously worked very hard on trying to fix the problem with his free arm.

Beth and Dan's performance was also lovely, a real joy to watch.

That's still an improvement though, isn't it?

She didn't do anything much in the way of solo skating so no, she didn't improve on it!
