Apparently the female and male lead don't get along at all because the female lead thinks she is a much bigger star than she really is and acts like it every second on set with her demands. A couple of hit movies a decade ago don't make you a huge star.

No I think his sister is still alive. She did have cancer back in 2006 but I'm sure she is still alive, maybe in remission? I do know that the star funded her treatment though.
