A lot of people seem to be under the impression that people dislike Tamera for her past, and while this may be true for some people, most actually dislike her simply because she isn't that good a singer or performer. Her performances are boring and emotionless.
I couldn't give a stuff about her past, people make mistakes so i don't judge her for that, and from what I've seen most others don't actually care either. She just isn't THAT good.
Just thought I'd clear that up

I am now aware that what I was trying to say didn't quite come across as i intended. Balls.
Meh I give up, its been a long day
When did I change my name, re-register and write this post?
Must be losing my memory like Tamera does with lyrics.
Not to worry Sir, it was a top class post.
Fairly standard troublesome teenager stuff. Not really worth going over again on these forums as it will just go round in a circle.
Don't knock someone who's trying to grow-up and forget the past - and move on!
How can you say that with any credibility? You and your immediate circle may not like her because of her singing style and ability but it is a stretch too far to say that is why most people dislike her. I have no problem accepting that many people dislike Tamera for the reasons you have stated. However, you only have to look at his forum to see that a lot of other people dislike her because of her well documented past mistakes. Which of these factors is having the greatest negative affect on Tamera? Who knows, certainly not me and certainly not you. Just because you have an opinion about someone it does not mean that is the opinion of the majority of people.
I often think people don't dislike contestants as much for their past indiscretions as they say they do on forums like this. I think it's more a case of they take a dislike to someone, probably instinctively and possibly irrationally, or because they perceive them as a threat to their own favourite, then the indiscretions appear and they're a useful stick to beat them with.
But I could just be projecting characteristics onto others in exactly the same way as I'm suggesting they do onto contestants, so what do I know?
I'll go back to cooing over Nicholas
Theft, drugs, bullying people, stealing boyfriends....
Seemingly, run of the mill stuff for a modern day 16yr old.
I didn't say my opinion is the opinion of everybody else, these are a summary of my observations. If your observations are different then fair enough
And every generation from the 1970s onwards to some degree.
Beautiful post.
I can safely say I don't know anyone that does drugs (and brags about it), steals from shops or goes and steals other peoples boyfriend/girlfriends.
But, maybe that's just because my friends are decent people?
Did you know that in Heaven all the interesting people are missing!
Neither do I. Don't know anybody who assaults people either. Supposedly being a decent person these days makes you uninteresting  yeah okay.
Are you 16 though?
Haha - nicely put!
Your limited experience is just that - limited experience. And it has left you with a slightly skewed view of the world.
Not everyone who experiments with drugs is a horrible bully.
Not everyone who 'steals' (your word, not mine) someone else's boyfriend is a nasty piece of work.
And people who don't do these things are not automatically decent and caring human beings by default.
And people grow up and are not always the same person as they were at school.
If you were as decent and caring as you seem to think you are, maybe you would be a little less condemning and prepared to give people a second chance.
I answered this on another thread. Tamera was not the girl who dumped the 2 friends, that was Hannah Sheares. Tamera was part of a duo, Silver Rock or something like that. The judges split them up and sent them both through as soloists.
