Who is your favourite character that David Jason has played on telly? Obviously everyone knows him best as Del Boy but i tend to prefer watching him as Inspector Frost tbh. He was very good as Del but i just find Frost a more interesting and more complex character.

I've enjoyed all the work he's done but for me ir's hard to top Del boy Only fools and horses is by far my fave comedy they just hadthe mix perfexct he was good as frost but for me you can't erally compaer them because Delboy was comedy whereas Frost was Drama he was good in both though I also enjoyed growing up Wind in the Willows as well where he provided the voice for Toad

    Do Not Adjust Your Set!!

With a very young Michael Palin, plus Eric Idle and Terry Jones

    And

The Great Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band! (perhaps my name is a bit of a giveaway)

Amazingly classified as a Childrens TV Programme at the time :)

    Here comes the Twist
    I don't Exist.

(Did you know that single was produced by Paul McCartney under the pseudonym of Apollo C Vermouth)

I agree. His delivery and speech was excellent and very realistic.

1 other thing he did, which he wasn't often credited/acknowledged for - was, he did the voice of the BFG. (kids animation film)

David Jason, is very selective in his acting career, he is such a good actor he can now afford to choose his characters. his good acting is not only on his script and how he delivers it. but also his facial expressions. which makes an actor, most actors are just average and cardboard.
well done Jason you are a cut above the rest..

Skullion in Porterhouse Blue is the best performance I've seen from him, he won a Best Actor BAFTA for it.

I have been thinking about this a fair bit but it is difficult to choose between Del, Granville and Frost... simply because they were all great characters played superbly by David Jason.

I've always considered that the characters he played were very similar. The noticeable differences in my opinion, were to do with him aging, more than anything else.
I got sick of him in Frost, but that may be due to the eopisodes being constantly repeated, so the character (well..him) I found in the end rather grating.

i've got a bit sick of him as Del tbh as that really has been repeated to death.

Frost went off the boil a little towards the end but the early ones were excellent and quite dark at times.
