I saw this tonight - wow!! I thought Brad and Logan were superb and all the supporting cast worked really well together. I've wanted to see Logan in another role since The Perks of Being a Wallflower so I'm glad I saw him in this role.

The ending was so sad but inevitable - there was no way they would all survive (or any!) against all those soldiers.

Saw it last night and although it's good war film, it's not quite a 'great' war film. There's lots to like, visually it looks good and the battle scenes are very tense and well done. It seems pretty authentic in it's depiction of life as part of WW2 tank crew, that is until the end when things get a bit OTT and unrealistic. The combat scenes are quite violent so probably not a film for everyone, but as a WW2 nut I really enjoyed it.

Have to admit that I thought the trailer for this was quite bland but the film itself was pretty decent.

I was more impressed with the character driven scenes rather than the battles (despite them being well staged) and I thought the film did a very good job of showing just how damaged everyone was by what they'd previously experienced in the war.

I think I actually preferred this film to 'Saving Private Ryan' so overall it gets an 8/10 from me...

    BIB: Definitely!
Also, did anyone else think that once Norman ran back to say that all those German soldiers were marching their way, they spent far too long talking and sorting things out before they arrived?!!

Saw this earlier, pretty good war film IMO. The cast were all good and it's very tense and well made. Not sure if the ending quite kept up with the more realistic tone of the rest of the film, it perhaps gets a bit too silly, but it's a solid all-round effort.

Although, for the squeamish, I'd say the gore and brutality is at the top end of the 15-rating so be prepared for some harrowing bits. But then, that's war I guess...

war porn at its very best, best tank movie since The Beast.

there are a few scenes in the trailer that aren't in the movie

Nerd alert, I don't think the Americans used Sherman Fireflys and a Sherman Firefly would've blown the shit out of a Tiger

Even bigger nerd alert! The tank is meant to be an 'Easy 8' Sherman. These were fitted with an 76mm high velocity main gun as opposed to the 75mm fitted on the normal Shermans, You're correct in that only the British and Canadians used the Sherman Firefly fitted with the 17lb main gun to deal with the superior German armour.

Very good film too which I enjoyed greatly.

I'm not really into war films but went and saw this primarily because of the director and cast and you can add another one to the list who liked it. Thought it was a really good, solid film.

I thought Brad Pitt was great, Logan Lerman was great, Shia LaBouf was surprisingly good and overall really enjoyed the film. The action scenes with the tanks were terrific, deaths were bloody and gory and thought the film showed the brutality of war very well. The tagline for Fury is 'war never ends quietly' - damn right! The ending went a bit over the top for me. I was surprised with the choice they made. Hard to believe it was all filmed in the UK. Well done!

Best scene for me had to be in the middle of the movie where Pitt and Lerman finally got some peace for a little bit and found 2 German women who cooked for them. Thought those 15/20mins was really well done.

Can't believe this is from the same guy who made the terrible Sabotage with Arnie! :D
