Another great ride by the pursuit ladies. They will be reigning world champions now in this event forever more. Will be interesting to see how the move to 4K wll change the event worldwide - I thnk Vicky is right that a few countries will struggle but the Brits will be fine.

And well done to Becky James on another medal.

The first three stages of next year's Giro will start in Belfast: http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/13988/Giro-dItalia-2014-Grande-Partenza-confirmed-for-Belfast.aspx

How do they get back to Italy without a rest day? Overnight on the Dublin to Hollyhead ferry, and then race across to Leeds close to the Hull ferry?:D

I've heard rumours they've got those flying things now, I think they're called planes. :):)

    They'll have a rest day won't they ?

They had a rest day after 3 days when they started in Denmark (?) a couple of years ago.............

I cannot see another way. The support vehicles would still need to cover a couple of thousand kilometres in a max of 40 hours via the ferry and channel tunnel. Racing across Wales, England and France in three or four stages would be more interesting but then it would not be the Tour of Italy.

Kenny is out of the keirin.:( the sprint is his speciality though so hopefully he can get gold in that, the british men have been rather dissapointing so far.

Damn! Kenny gets boxed in and misses out by by a quarter of a wheel.

^ Agreed. Thank god for the girls :)

Kenny is having a bit of a shocker so far...............still got the individual sprint event to come tomorrow as his last chance for a medal but he doesn't look to be in any sort of form

The other main world sprinter, Bourget of France, is sitting out the Worlds.............I suppose because they come round every year it's not quite the big event that it ought to be ?

Though the road racing world champs are also every year and that is a real big deal

    :D Lets hope so :)

It was a fair comment. he's not in his best form, the Sprint is where he needs to perform now, if he struggles there he is definitely not at the races atm.

Damn! I have to go out, will have to catch up later on Iplayer.

What a unprofessional way to cut away on BBC2, its bad enough we even have to leave at all

EDIT - That was BBC2 Wales i was watching. They cut away abruptly and then the audio failed when linking to the next show.

It's the one area in the whole of cycling - road or track - that GB aren't very good at. Only 1 world championship gold in the last decade.
