The first lady to sing in that video was on a TV programme recently. She was a British student who was back-packing around europe. Someone approached her in a hostel and offered her something like £5 to sing this song, which she agreed (that kept her going for another couple of days). But there was only her and two others there when they did the take. The massive crowd was shot some other time and she wasn't there.
I love this thread, it's bringing back a lot of memories.
I wonder if anyone remembers one where a little girl stood behind her three little brothers and pointed at each one and said what they were going to be when they grew up. Then in a very posh voice she said "And according to mummy - I'm going to be a proper little Madam".
It was so like most little girls act. It must be a long time ago, probably the 70's but I have always remembered it, although I have no idea now what the advert was for. Anyone know?
Birds Eye peas ....... theyr'e bouncing along in a line - to get into the box ...... but the last one's too big and can't get in! Poor lonely thing ....
Voice: " .......it's the peas Birds Eye reject, that make Birds Eye the Best"
(can't find the video).
You might think "Bird's Eye" is simply a made up "trade name", but amazingly, Clarence Birdseye was the real name of a quick freexing pioneer. Howz about that then, folks?
I'd have murdered my gran for a pair of these, when I finally got some I think it was the happiest moment of my young life!! :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUQCQ0LMsb8
I'm currently watcing Ice Cold in Alex, and it's reminded me of the Holsten Pils advert from the 80s with the clip from this, and the Carlsberg advert at the same time that just used the end scene.

Just found one of them-I defy anyone not to find it infuriatingly catchy.
