I've seen alot of ridiculous things but your comments just beat it everytime.

The fact you even think your "taste" is superieur than the taste of the members here......
Especially not when you stan for Misha B :kitty: What a bad taste you have.

I'm afraid that as much as he is being provocative (and borderline objectionable) on this thread, he is correct about taste not being individually subjective.

I am happy and comfortable in my taste in music. Misha will never make a record I would buy, I think RnB is for children, but she is a highly accomplished performer - gauging that's not a matter of taste, but simple observation.

And regardless of whether my taste is superior, taste is not subjective - there are standards.

Oh dear now I know you really are a troll with this and your comments on the MC in rehab thread

It wouldn't upset me to hear you say you think Ms Barret is less than accomplished than I - I'm no fanatic - but why does saying she is talented make me a troll?

But who's he to say who has a bad taste?

Apparently he's well known as a troll on this forum and this thread just proved it again. He should be proud.

And the members on here aren't?

"Taste has standards".. Shaking my head so hard right now it gives me a headache.

It's simple utter hate, that's all.

Now, you've stopped making sense. Taste can't have standards - taste is an absract concept - but there are standards of taste. This is self-evidently true, so now who's trolling? And "hate", hate of what, or whom? Please explain.

You don't define who has a bad taste. And don't mention "trolling" when you clearly don't know what it means.

Hate on Abi obviously, I thought that was clear? Yes, ofcourse you have a opinion and I couldn't care less what you think of her (or just any other artist). You think whatever you want, but you're going that far to say these members have a bad taste, plus you're still here trying to convince she's bad. 3 words: Misha irrelevant B. No more words needed to explain we can't take anything serious from you when talking about taste.

So I am a troll, but I don't know what that means - OK.

And I don't "hate on Abi" - I simply think she was a limited vocalist with a daddy complex who sang dreary songs of teenage yearning. I guess, if you are a hormonal teenager, her music might sound deep and meaningful; but you have to expect adults to take the mic. I don't hate, I'm simply dismissive.

Of course not, but I can compare others to a standard and, sometimes, find them wanting.

Sorry, In MO Abi is not a singer and never will be, she just does not have the voice.

Welllll, I said borderline objectionable, though perhaps that's coloured by your contributions to the MC thread, which I would say are objectionable.

I have no opinions on Abi fwiw.

You don't have to know what a troll is to be one though.

I didn't like Abi on XF actually, I was glad she got voted off. I just can't stand people who just come on a thread to troll, while clearly there was nothing wrong with that cover and her vocals. And actually... I wasn't arguing with you about Abi, it was with the others.
    Also, it's not Abi's music.

If you find them so, then they are, but, as the great John Cleese said, "nobody has the right to not be offended."

Well I guess after the full argument we should now move on to 'being hit on the head lessons.'

Oh I would agree with that. But I am not offended by them. I just think they are wrong and ill-informed. But you have every right to express them.

if you aren't offended, why use the term "objectionable"?

Because you say things like "Her music, on the other hand, is sh!t; dreary, over-wrought, doggerel. I can only assume her music is meant to strike a chord with angst-ridden teeny girls and make them feel better about being ugly and not having a boyfriend."

Which is much more than saying 'I don't think she's very good' and is, by implication, suggesting those that like her (and therefore those that say they do on this forum) are the 'angst-ridden, ugly, teeny girls' that you're so disparaging about. That's language designed to push buttons.

OK, but this is the Internet, it's all about pushing buttons. And porn. It's been like that since the Usenet days and it's why we're all here.

To an extent. I believe there's a time for pushing buttons and a time for worthwhile discussion, though.

I couldn't agree more, but XF, for me, would not be the subject of the latter.

That said, a model to explain addiction, or even non-addicted, drug use would be an interesting topic for discussion. Personally, I subscribe to a self-medication model. Anyway, that will have to wait.
