Only one contestant left over the age of 24

It's time to scrap the overs category and put an age limit of about 28

The show was great at first for giving older singers a last chance, but it's now clear that regardless of how good a singer they are (Melanie Masson was fantastic), the public just won't take to them

If Maloney was from anywhere other than Liverpool, he'd be gone too

Only one female left as well and there were more of them to start with.

Young male singers seem to be all the viewers and producers are interested in.

This year, maybe. Last year was completely run by the females.

Radio 1 won't play Robbie Williams because he is 38 and too old. So I think ageism is the last refuge for the bigot.

Don't believe everything you read in the Daily Mail. The same day the Daily Mail ran that article Sara Cox played his song on her show.
