  well it's called progressive download, but it is essentially streaming to the layperson.

  I've also been using Blinkbox music, which offers free 'radio' style streaming. ad supported, though I can't remember hearing any.

  Might try All-Access but I'm not really sure what it offers vs playing tunes for free through youtube

  Well I've taken the plunge and signed up for the 30 day free trial of Access Everything and I am impressed so far. It's recommending music I like already and i've only been using it for about an hour so far. I guess it's looked at my ratings of my own library along with playcount to come up with a guesstimate of my tastes.
