Okay ... I was channel hopping the other day and thought I recognised a bit of scenery, stopped to watch a bit more and recognised a pub I used to visit. Then more and more pieces of my home town of Bristol, England* appeared. It was a mock period piece and I had difficulty working out what the show was about (having missed the start) since even the strangely eyelinerd star didn't know who he was Turned out he was a detective from Toronto, Canada (see what I did there? ).
All in all it was a bit silly and I got a good laugh but I was impressed that a Canadian company had stomped up the money to do on-location shooting in Bristol. Based on that one episode I wouldn't watch it but I am interested to hear if Digital-Spies have anything to say about it?
* Whenever a UK city appears in such programmes its always "<town name>, England". I think I've even seen "Cardiff, England" although might have been a deliberate joke

It isn't over. There is supposed to be a fourth season -- from what I read.
And yes, there is a 4th season in the offing - I think they're filming it at the moment.
For anyone who doesn't know, there are also three feature length episodes made prior to this series, with Peter Outeridge as Murdoch and Keeley Hawes as Dr Ogden. They're also great although I prefer Yannick Bisson and Helene Joy. My absolutey favourite is Jonny Harris as the wonderful George Crabtree!
