I would rather have my teeth pulled out with pliers.

I have no desire for fame in any way, shape or form even fleeting z list fame.

I applied a couple of times when it was on Channel 4. I got to a third round audition (filmed) one of the times.

Haven't bothered since it's been on Five.

I agree. Even having my own personal Facebook account would make me feel exposed :D

Not in a million years. I would hate that type of public scrutiny and also the ex boyfriends/ ex friends crawling out of the woodwork with those 'she's a total b*****d' stories!

Out of interest, do all of the housemates get paid for going on or is it just the winner? If they all get paid, how much?

    but life is big brother....

friggin CCTV camera's up all over the place

when relationships go wrong... sex tapes will suddenly get uploaded to the internet, as the 'ex' tries to get revenge.

You have to wonder, how come so many people film themselves having sex in the first place

No. I can't stand the attention seeking types that often go on it. I'd probably end up wanting to murder half of them within the first week.

No. Nobody watches it and I have no desire to be on the front page of the Daily Star. In the old days, when it was popular and in the news I would've done it but its pretty much on its last legs now.

No, I can´t think of anything I´d gain from doing it or anyone else would gain from watching me. Maybe I could make some new friends with the other contestants but I don´t have time to see all of my existing friends as it is!

To be honest, I could never deal with the eating habits. Being stuck in a house with people that talk with their mouth full would do my head in.

They get an allowance. It used to be £35 a day, but it might be more now. Not a lot, anyway.

If I had been young and attractive I would have liked to do a very early BB series. The editing was fairer, the process was both fairer and kinder, and the press was overwhelmingly positive. I think people are mad to do it now. BB can just select you as a villain, as they did Linda Nolan in the last series, and there is literally nothing you can do about it. And in the main BB, the viewers can be appallingly mysogynistic.

And the 'fame', that appears to be the only motivation, is slight and even negative. I know at least one housemate who actually had tv work taken away when they found out he had been on BB.

Maybe in another 30 years or so when I've retired and am just trying things for the experience and have nothing much to lose.

Not under any circumstances whatever - period.

    Yes, I would.

I'm likely to regret it bitterly, but I would do it for the sake of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. I will have to watch Big Brother to see how it works these days, though. I haven't seen any since BB5.

If it had been the first two or three series, yes.

Once they started pushing more and more 'characters', absolutely not.

Not now it's on Channel 5 and they apparently have a bunch of idiots running the show.

I really doubt that you would like it. They pre-select housemates to play roles, then contrive situations to demonstrate those roles. And almost none of the game is played straight - you can be evicted just for being quiet and pleasant, and not getting any nominations.

I don't understand how the contestants all manage to get that much time off work. My manager would never let me take 5 weeks off just to go on TV.

I actually would like to do it, but with my anxiety, paranoia, self conscious and among other problems, I'd be a nervous wreck on it lol.

I think a lot of them see BB as a stepping stone to fame, so maybe quit their jobs. Others in this series are allegedly involved in soft porn, a topless model, a regular reality show contestant so this is seen as a boost to their existing jobs.
