Since this year's BBUK and BBUS seem to be disappointing viewers, there's alot of expectation on BBAU.
It's hard to think how it's going to top last year's line-up.
One housemate from BB10 whose journey was really gripping was Mikkayla. Going from the outcast and misfit of the house who hilariously kept dodging the eviction bullet slowly becoming a bossy and opinionated presence who had alot of swing in the house. Getting booted out against her long-time 'nemesis' Tahan and newbie Boog felt a bit of a shame but I think it was a very fitting ending to her journey.
I think that was one of the great things about the series, people like Mikkayla who you expect to be out by day 20 managed to last to day 80. While typical alpha males like Caleb and Matthew who you expect to last a while end up getting booted early.
I think the only real flop in the whole line-up for me was Nathan. Who came in expecting to be the life and soul of the party but found out he's just a very flat and uninteresting person and his ego didn't take it very well.
Even Justynn made his mark, not a very positive one but it certainly stirred things up for a brief time.

Nathan seemed a typical person who thinks they're the life and soul of the party when around their friends, but are completely at sea in with a bunch of strangers.
I expected more from Xavier too, he seemed to just vanish particular the week before he was evicted.
I always loved the idea of the twist from when Channel 5 announced it, but they went about it the complete wrong way. They used it for their own storyline ideas rather than letting it play out fairly.
I am 200% confident that BBAU will carry it out way better and fairly. I hope it doesn't interfere too much with nominations because they were already perfect with the nominations power each week.
I hate when nominations are messed with which is why I didn't watch BBUK this year - I hope this twist isn't going to go the same way.
I agree. If they do their own twist on it without disrupting actual nominations from taking place, fine, but I hope they don't follow Power Trip too closely.
The thing is, the Power Trip idea reminded me of BBUK's twist on Australia's Nominations Super Power in the first place, only the super power never got in the way of all of the housemates actually nominating (even if it did have the chance to alter the result).

And they had to compete to win the power making it completely fair because everyone had a shot at winning

Let's hope they aren't using BBUK's old trick saying it's a never been done before twist....which has been done before xD

yes its a little worrying atm but production has been far better than ours and I'm sure BBAU will do a better job
It will be interesting if they do it well to compare it to our lame version this year.

They had to make a snap decision on launch night last year too - choosing a key that would only open either the Safe House or the Halfway House.
I wonder what this year's decision will be.
BLOCK it in!
