Sorry if this is old news - I couldn't find a thread on it.
The Fry and Cooper novels may be adapted for TV:

I'm not sure who I'd like to see playing them but I could see maybe someone like Mark Benton as Gavin. Don't know if he can do any accent apart from Teesside though
