Your favourite comedy double act

For me it has to be The Two Ronnies. In 17 series they never had a dud show and their sketches such as Fork Handles and The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town are still fondly remembered. Ronnie Barker is rightly regarded as a comedy genius.

Can't say anything against The Two Ronnies or Morecambe & Wise but just because of the era I would choose Fry & Laurie.

Michell & Webb and Armstrong & Miller are also good recent double acts.

The Oxbridge gang do seem to produce decent comedy partnerships.

Infact TTR and M&W will have more memorable sketches probably even for me.
    Fry & Laurie overall though.

Oooh good one. If we're just talking TV, with all due respect to the great M&W and TTR, it'd be between Fry & Laurie and Lee & Herring for me (the latter for the brilliance that was 'This Morning With Richard Not Judy'...although I like Fist Of Fun too.)

Ummm....no, got to be (A Bit Of) Fry & Laurie. Wonderful wonderful stuff. "Mr Dalliard? I've started gushing like a luvvie.now..." :D

    Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie
Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders (I also liked Saunders with Joanna Lumley in Absolutely Fabulous. Great chemistry.)
    Alas Smith and Jones
    Peter Cook and Dudley Moore

If I had to choose, French and Saunders.

Probably Reeves and Mortimer. At their best I don't think I've ever laughed so hard.

On film - Laurel and Hardy. Pure genius.
On tv - Reeves and Mortimer. Pure lunacy !

Do Derek and Clive almost count as a separate duo to Peter Cook and Dudley Moore.

I would also say Reeves and Mortimer at their best. Stars In Your Eyes amongst others gets me every time.

Also worthy of a mention are Paul Whitehouse and Harry Enfield, they were excellent as the Self Righteous Brothers. These shows were hilarious 20 years ago. I think Punt and Dennis from that era were amusing in a surreal way.
Bottom of the list has to be Little and Large, their samey impersonations and banal material were terrible.

Rik Mayall and Ade Edmonsdon for me.

Also, I do like a bit of Ant and Dec when they present IACGMOOH (I don't watch them in anything else).

Ant and Dec could be legends if they get a decent comedy scriptwriter. They were hilarious on SM TV and are also good actors.

I'd have to go for Fry & Laurie, closely followed by Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones and Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse.
I also love Laurel and Hardy and French and Saunders.

I don't mind the Two Ronnies and their shopkeeper sketch is probably one of my all time favourites but I found they got a bit samey over the years. Also loved Eric and Ernie.

    The Two Ronnies

Apart from those, I cannot think of any more!

Ant & Dec try their best (I like them) - but not in the same league!

More of a trio but Anna Botting, Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire are usually very amusing when they do the press review on Sky News
