DigitalOne from Bow Brickhill is silent too. Odd that the data stream is there but no sound.

Could it be a problem at Leicester Square? I think all the DAB stations affected are multiplexed through Leicester Square (Global Radio) including all the Digital1 stations - although Heart is working here in London on DAB.

    In Dudley, West Midlands......

    Digital One, all stations silent
Now Wolverhampton, some stations on as normal, some silent
MXR West Midlands, most stations silent
CE Birmingham, Some stations on, some off, but the TX at Turners Hill seems to be totally off, just about receiving the CE Birmingham stations from a different TX to normal, I live right by the Turners Hill TX site.
    BBC National DAB seems fine.

Yet it's on in London, where loads of other stations are off.

    Silent here -

    All of Digital 1
XFM, Kiss and Punjabi on Now Wolves
Choice, Asian FX, LBC, and Panjab on MXR WM
    XFM on Now Notts
    Traffic Radio on UTV Stoke

Also Absolute, TalkSport and Smooth seem to be silent on Freeview.

Any connections between all of the above?

Looking on the bright side though, it's silenced Micky Quinn which is joy to behold in itself.

Arqiva Croydon experienced a UPS failure. Everything referred to comes out of there.

According to Chris Chilvers' Twitter page, it is an Arqiva fault (Arqiva being the transmission handlers of course).

Don't know how many stations have acknowledged the fault - most probably won't be aware and are probably automated at this time on a Sunday or the stations from a PC in a cupboard!

On D1, BFBS Radio is still working (edit: just saw someone else has already said it's back on along with a few others). Absolute is broadcasting stereo silence unlike the others that are down!

UPS - men in brown suits who deliver parcels worldwide.

Or UPS in this case - Uninterruptable Power Supply - keeps electrical things running in the event of a power cut.

Well I told them those 4 AA batteries they'd stuck in the back weren't going to be enough. :D

Well they should know from experience that DAB radios gobble up batteries like nothing - perhaps broadcasting the stations does this as well as listening to them?
