any fans here seen him play? got a quick report for me?
Extremely overrated early on in his career. Struggled to make any impression at Rangers and looks to be very fond of Big Macs, Whoppers and Zinger Tower burgers at the same sitting.

ANYONE ELSE? lol:p
heard he was scottish wayne rooney but never lived up to that, seen some of his goals on youtube, obviously got some class though.
There's no "normally" - nothing like this has ever happened before.
The closest precedent comes from the SFL, where the relegated sides have stayed down and the play-off runners-up go/stay up.
The nearest thing the SPL has had to this was with Aberdeen in 2000, and Motherwell in 2003, where both sides avoided relegation because the Division 1 champions didn't have a suitable ground. Dunfermline seem to think that's enough of a precedent that they should be reinstated to the SPL, judging by the statements they've made.
Hmm, what odds I wonder then that in both the League and the FA Cup's Celtic and Sevco will meet outside of the final?
It will have to be, to generate tv fixtures and also help both of them as obviously they'll lose the league games now. Rather than leave it to the final, it will be middle rounds of the draw, so it will be at Celtic Park and Ibrox.
That assumes that "Rangers", with very few players left and a possible transfer ban, will actually get past the opening rounds....

There's a difference between a club not being relegated (such as with Aberdeen and Motherwell) and a club being reinstated.
There's no such thing as "enough of a precedent" -- something is a precedent, or it isn't. And both situations of clubs avoiding relegations certainly aren't.
If, and at the moment it is just an if, Celtic abstained then I'm pretty peeved off that we never even used our vote.
You could argue that abstaining is basically a vote for 'no' as Sevco need positive votes in their favour but that will not get them any slack off of sections of the support and rightfully so.
I guess in some ways Celtic are in a no win situation a no vote which ever way they decided to vote it would be seen by some to be wrong. Perhaps because of the bitter rivaly between the two clubs they may have felt it wiser to abstain . Also if they had voted no you will no doubt of got accusations of them wanting Rangers out of the SPL as it would mean the title has already been won before a ball has been kicked.

Of course it was a no win situation for Celtic but the reality is that without the Celtic support there is no Celtic football club and they should be listening to the fans.
There have been comments about our ability to prosper without Rangers and how we do not need them to survive which clearly led fans to believe that despite no official comment coming out about which way we would vote we would vote no.
If we haven't voted then the board needs to explain why.
You need to read the statements coming from SFL clubs.
I think that's 11 already confirmed as "no to Division 1". That leaves you 19 from which to get 16 votes...
I would think that the div 2 & 3 teams would prefer NewCo to start in div 3. Firstly a couple of current teams would jump up a division, then there would be bigger gates for the next couple of seasons as NewCo works its way back up.
Cheers, interesting both clubs have a case, normally the relegated club gets reinstated, although think there have been exceptions.
A different league (and a different country), but I remember a situation where Ron Atkinson, as Sheff Wednesday manager, tried to argue that wednesday should not be relegated when a spare place became available. However, wednesday were styill relegated and another team came up. can't remember the details, and not able to look it up at present.
The SPL rules do say that the team finishing last is ineligible to compete in the league the following season, subject to the winner of the First Division meeting the ground criteria etc.
now to SFL vote, it should be division 3 or nothing.
Airdrie and Stranraer will abstain as they are the teams that will benefit from Newco in the 3rd division, we know Cowdenbeath will vote yes or offer their place in the league to Newco, we know there are already 11 clubs saying no.
Will other applications for the vacant spot be considered say Spartans or Deveronvale or Cove Rangers applied would they be considered instead of Newco?
SFL need to tell Doncaster to get to f*** with his threats he is not in charge of the league so his opinion should be ignored

Celtic rumour is apparently a load of nonsense. Haven't a clue tbh

Rumours are that it was Killie who abstained.
He's pish.
oh well must've been us.

Latest tweets are suggesting Ross County.

Dunfermline are relegated, Dundee should be allowed promotion to the SPL.
