The second round is much better now, IMHO. Pity they used people erm ... lower on the intelligence scale to kick it off.

I have a theory about this. It's because they like to have a decent rollover on the prize money, like on Eggheads. The get in the think ones to start off and gradually get better ones as the series progresses. If there is a prize fund of ten thousand pounds, then that might attradct more viewers.

I got one of the pointless answers in the final game, I'd guessed George Weah before I googled it!

Lol where do they get them from. obviously thrown out of school. Even those kids on smarter than a ten year old could name a country on the med. Dont care much for the second round. Love the show though.

Why do they seem to think it's so bloody funny that they're stupid? Portugal, Bulgaria and Mykonos? I was appalled.

Well, he did choose football. I was hoping they'd choose chemistry, though on past form I don't think they'd have got anything no matter how simple the question was.

    Harrison Ford films.

    I'll say:

    Apocolypse Now
    American Grafitti and.....
    Witness

They've gone for 'Indiana Jones & The Jewel Of The Nile(?)', 'Temple Of Doom' and 'The Fugitive'.

I wonder if they actually understand the rules of this show?

I would have won with 'American Graffitti'!

    Unsurprisingly, they didn't.

:D and  at the "Name a member of the EU that has German as an official language" question.

82 people said Germany which means 18 people didn't!!!

Oh yes, got all of 'em! Only once I'd stopped laughing at that overly camp fella claiming he was "training to become a medium" though.

Ah, but maybe they twigged that they were being surveyed for Pointless, and were trying to think out of the box ;-)

I thought Switzerland myself, then was puzzled when they got an X.

Just shows how carefully you have to listen to the question!

On balance though, I'd probably have said Belgium - since "not many people know that" :)

Yeah, it's an official language but Switzerland isn't in the EU. :)

I was thinking of a very obscure one in Liechtenstein, but I guess that's not part of the EU.

I'd probably have been reluctant to say Switzerland not because I'd been paying attention to the "EU countries only" stipulation but because I thought that "Schwiizerdütsch", Switzerland's rather unusual spoken dialect of German, wouldn't "count"..
