I don't think he is in the show to make a mug of himself, he must have some confidence in his ability.
I agree but having confidence and ability doesn't always transfer to enough of the public voting for you eg Gabby Logan, Ray Fearon, Spoony, Jimi Mistry etc all of whom had shock exits despite their ability.........which is one of the reasons why I'm hoping he won't have the early exit that some people are predicting here.
I think Audley Harrison surprised a lot of people on here last year because many people thought he'd be the first out, but he wasn't he made it to nearly half way even though he wasn't the greatest dancer there was something in his performances that saved him from a very early exit - I think he put a lot of personality into his dances.........so I'm hoping Colin similarly surprises people and I hope he's a better dancer than Audley too

1. Nicky Byrne - not necessarily the very best, but pro-male bias could see him across the line
2. Dani Harmer - judged by her efforts on Comic Relief she can obviously dance
3. Denise Van Outen - Probably the best, but people won’t want her to win due to her
experience
4. Kimberley Walsh - Got the dance moves with Girls Aloud
5. Fern Britton - Can dance a bit viz. Christmas special, plus has fan base
6. Lisa Riley - A luvvie so probably can dance a bit despite her weight
7. Louis Smith - Good gymnast, so probably a good mover
8. Victoria Pendleton - Unknown quantity, may have two left feet but will work hard and be popular
9. Jerry Hall - Why do people think she won’t be able to dance ? Should be partnered by Ian
Waite, but that's another story

He comes across quite well in his video. He could end up being the one that may not necessarily even have the best moves, but will win people over either by being rather funny, or rather sweet.
Having said that, I'm not sure I can see Michael leaving first (Which is possibly just because of the previous success of Cricketers on the show).
The only one that hasn't really grabbed me hugely so far is Louis, and I can't see him leaving first. At the very least, he could have the "young heart-throb" vote, or (and I hate to say this) the initial "post-olympic vote of support".
.... Hmm, I might need to rethink my whole list. LOL. Maybe I'll just wait until after the Launch Show now.
