Does it bother anyone that Helen was a prostitute?

Sex is about more than physical release (and not all disabled people can masturbate).

Links to support would be appreciated. I would be quite keen to read this research as i dont agree.

Not the masturbation bit (that was a joke).

Her being nasty bothers me more.

What i hate is when they moan about it - oh it was so tough. I would be starving if i didn't do it blah blah blah.
No one holds a gun to a person's head & gets them to do that.
Girls who are victims of sex trafficking have no choice , she did.
No sympathy but on my list of things in the world to spend time thinking about that is very very low on the list.

Nobody really knows why Helen went into this trade. Why judge her when we truly don't know why?

    Who spreads the diseases?

Most prostitutes worth their salt get their self checked out and ensure they are clean. In fact there's active organisations out on the street to ensure that happens.

Some prostitutes spread diseases. I didnt say they 'all' did. Some do though, some dont get checked and some unfortuntely arent worth their salt. This is nothing to do with Helen though is it? I wasnt saying Helen had a disease lol.

I like Helen, I'm pretty sure people here are aware of me defending her on threads.

Does it bother me she was a prostitute?
    Yes
I really, really wish she never had to be one. That somewhere along the line there had been an alternative.

All this bollox about sex workers and how it's all so OK. Well look at how it has damaged Helen.
How can it not damage a person to be able to be bought/hired for sex?
Who and how would you ever trust somebody again when you have seen the most extreme example of hypocrisy around?
When it's proved over and over again that what people say is very different to what they do?

I never did judge it. I said i have no problem with her doing it although i cant think i like prostitution.

I made a joke about disease and prostitutes do indeed get disease in many cases.

I feel sorry for those forced into it for sure.... but some arent.

Swingers are a higher risk group, escorts tend to get themselves checked out regularly and tend to insist on condoms.

This is like the egg and the chicken.

How would a man or a woman spread disease. Whom do we blame?

No one's suggesting it's all hunky dory, just that prostitutes aren't to be blamed or villifed for finding themselves in that situation.

Good point. But if your stock and trade was the sex industry, you'd insure yourself for every liability just like any other business.

Im not sure what your questions mean, what your point is or if you even know when ive joked.

With unchecked prostitutes both the prostutute and client can spread. Hope that helps.

Well not exactly. If men go home with a dose of the pox, then they've been with a 'cheap' prostitute. I.e. one with no scruples or precautions

But if say a politician wanted a prostitute, it would mean high class and one who was disease free and who'd had ensured regular checks with clinics etc.

Yes that would be a cheap hooker. Where did i say that wouldnt be the case. Im not saying anything about hooker class or mps.

Im not too sure of your questions etc, i think you maybe just lookin to get some things off your chest but been nice talking to you.

No. What she did is not illegal. If she choose to do this then who am I to judge her.

The only people who are to blame are men like Wayne Rooney who are married with children, or children expecting, and they cheat. This is not Helen's fault.

I understand her friend was one who sold the story first to newspaper. Later Helen then went on breakfast television to make her story clear. This may be making money from the pain but I do not know the facts so again who am I to judge.

Probably bothers the wives kids and families of those she had sex with

Let's measure hypocrisy from here on in now that little Ashleigh is tight in the group condemning Marlon. Why don't we?

At least Helen has shown a capacity to change her mind.

Has Ashleigh done that yet? But I guess sitting amongst everyone agreeing with them and then slating them behind their backs makes her a NON HYPOCRITE.

And yet you call Helen a hypocrite????????????

Please spare your warped logic on me.

Helen changes because she gets a warning and she is great . Ashleigh changes because she hears some boos and she is a hypocrite.

What about Helen slagging Ashleigh off behind her back to steven and kimberley having spoken to her cordially the night before.

All 'dating' is a form of prostitution. At least the way Helen does it, you get what you pay for

What a despicable attitude, I can't believe nobody picked up on this.

With certain men this seems to have become received wisdom, but what absolute bollocks. The implicafion is that any woman who goes out with a man is potentially available to be bought for sex, and that if he has spent any money at all, he has paid for access to her body as if she were a commodity.

Well, aren't you love's young dream? I've got news for you, women are people too. Does that come as a shock? Some of us have our own money and are more than happy to pay our own way, especially if it means that some over-entitled bloke doesn't get to feel like he has the right to put his hands on us just because he's bought us fish and chips.

Now we know you think all women are ****, you've pretty much marked your own card, at least as far as I'm concerned. Another 'sexist pig' for my ignore list.

    Going into debt

Things changed when Helen borrowed £500 from a loan shark for a holiday to Spain. When she was made redundant from her £260-a-week office job, she had no way of paying it back. Ringing a friend for help, they recommended she join an escort agency.

I couldnt care less about her being a Tom, but it is a poor excuse as to why she went into it. All because she wanted a holiday in Spain.

Couldn't care less about her ex profession. That's her business and she was single. If other people are, well then I would like to think its at the very bottom of the list of things that bother them about her.

I don't judge her on her previous occupation, I judge her on her behaviour in the house.

I am actually starting to warm to her, as it goes.

I have seen that typed on forums a lot, not just this one.
What do you base your statement on please?

Having sex with multiple partners is going to be more high risk of course, all the swingers I personally know use condoms and go to the clinic as well.

I should imagine a prostitute would be out of business pretty quick if she had a conscience about the wives and kids of her clients.
People have affairs with married men/women with kids all the time, same in one way as that if that mindset is in place,
