I agree with you! I think he thinks that, if he says it enough it'll be true, a bit like a child does. On the flip hand, of course, that hardly covers her in glory either. His desperation along with her deception, a wonderful recipe for a truly dreadful showmance.

I agree. She is just as disgraceful as he is. She surely must see his is mentally unstable but she is still going to carry on with her deception for her own needs.
