ha that is where I first read it. Is is very strange.
The only thing I can think of is that it's someting to do with libel/injunctions etc.
That is so unlikely it is impossible to be the real reason. There is no precedent to my knowledge for that happening here - an internet website being blocked.

Yeah reading the thread back i realise It threw me for a loop
It is strange that people in Ireland are not having problems. I take they have similar laws to the US and less like us. I'll just have to set up a proxy connection for future use. I've set up this link for anyone who would like to save it as a bookmark.
The block does seem intermittent, maybe due to ISP caching? I don't know why but it's certainly an intentional blocking of UK surfers.
We should all be worried about this. Unknown persons have instructed other unknown persons to stop a country seeing this site. Even if you've never been to TMZ.com before, that's pretty shocking.

Exactly. People need to be more concerned about censorship, even if it's just a possibility. I've a nasty feeling we'll be seeing messages like this more and more often in the future.
I never ever go on TMZ but find that a bit odd coming from the same country that has the gutter press we do blocking a gossip website. I guess its down to libel laws but we're not a country of censorship so why block it? But it works on my iPhone for some reason so UK iPhone users can still access it.

I can get to the website on my HD2 TMZ Mobile, but still not via the web

I have been able to access TMZ all day, as normal, not via a proxy connection. it is not blocked in the UK, I am in London.
Their newsfeed IS slow today though so they are definitely having some issues - but technical ones.
Are you a member?
...maybe
Read ONTD everyone, don't go to Perez!
Hahha I agree, ONTD is just hilarious
ONTD is brilliant. Especially the comments.
I wouldn't use Perez's site if offered a million quid to do so, that vile little creature.
TMZ is still blocked for me.

Blocked for me in SE England, ok via the link above though. Don't often visit the site but now I'm blocked, I need my fix!!
Looking forward to what the boss has to say. Have tweeted him accordingly!
Nor me.
What a strange message to get off a normally accessible website.
It's something I might expect from somewhere like China and their crazy censorship, but not the UK.
Calm down dear! I think it's just a technical error rather then us being censored like China LOL!
Still not working for me either! What's going on??
What's ONTD?
Oh No They Didn't, definitely the best gossip site out there!

But why would a message about "laws" be put in place of the regular website content if it's just an innocent technical error?
