The BR fans were great. I've always hated how one side always clears out of Wembley before the trophy is presented. Have the decency to show some respect to the winner. BR's fans did that.
Even more admirable given the intense rivalry between the two!
Merkel was much more chatty with Dortmund. Think we know who she supports!!
She grew up in East Germany so is probably more neutral in matches like these than most Germans. It was a great match and I found myself wanting whoever was attacking to score. Whenever I saw Ribery I wanted Bayern to lose but whenever I saw Lahm, Sweinsteiger, Neuer (or the poor manager who has been sacked) I wanted them to win, particularly after their unlucky defeats to Man Utd and Chelsea.

Exactly!!! They are class, as were Bayern's to be fair
Surely the ref will get some sort of punishment for failing to apply the laws /rules ? It shouid have been a straight red in my view , or a second yellow a best.
No yellow card was required in my view. It was just a standard foul - a stupid one to give away - which was adequately punished by the award of a penalty.
Great game. I wanted Dortmund to win and at least it would have been nice to see extra time. Well played Bayern though.

Careful. A certain LFC "fan" will take issue with any praise of "BR".

It's unsporting behaviour, as I said, nailed on yellow given the referee had already deemed the challenge a foul and worthy of a penalty.
I disagree. A referee by law doesn't need to show a yellow card just because he awards a penalty; the foul more than compensated for the challenge in my view. A referee has to decide if the challenge is careless, reckless or using excessive force. For me, the referee got it right tonight on that one.
I think Bayern deserved to win, they created more chances in a great game.
I've nothing against them as a team but Ribery and Robben, whilst both good footballers, just irritate the hell out of me.
BR opened well but Bayern's class told in the end. I'm glad for them after the football they've played this season and losing their last two finals. Ribery and Robben make it easy for non Bayern fans to dislike them, but I can't begrudge them after the work they've put in to all the CL games I've seen this season.
Most of all I'm happy for the manager. What dignity he's shown and what a way to go out!

It's a nailed on yellow by the laws of the game. Ref just made a mistake, it's not really debatable.
What law does it say that?

I'm pretty sure she supports Bayern.

The more I see of Ribery, the more I think being niggling, irritating and a bit divey is pretty much all he has in his locker.
Ribery and Robben were shocking weren't they .
It's goals that count.

Sky Sports 1 - 1.49m (6.7%)
Bearing in mind this is only the second final since 2005 not to feature an English club, and the previous one didn't rate very well.

Bayern probably just about edged it after the opening 25 minutes.
Sounded like a wonderful atmosphere too as expected.
Bit of a shame there was still some "cheating" but get that in every game I guess.
