Buying a bike from supermarkets

Son needs a bike just to get to and from work .Are the bikes from Asda, Tesco etc worth it? thanks :D

    No, they are utter junk, and horrible to ride.

    Proper new bikes start at around £200.

    Have a look at 2nd hand. My mate just got a Specialized Rock Hopper for 80 quid...gotta be a bargain

    Dont touch the ones from supermarkets or toys r us, tbh even the halfords bikes are mostly rubbish. If you have a decent independent shop (action bikes for example) you should be able to get something decent for your lad that wont break the bank

    we bought our twin boys bikes at Tesco, in the sale, £50 instead of £100 and they are superb! absolutely fantastic! better than the one my friend spent £250 on for her son!
