A lovesick British man dumped by his girlfriend of four years, was browsing the web when he came across an offer he could not refuse. King Jackpot, a brand new online casino just legalized in Canada, was offering new players £20 free (with no credit card or deposit required) for a chance to win a progressive jackpot of over half a million British dollars (£500,000.00)
Carl Matthews, 29, from London had just lost his job, and had incurred over £9,300 of credit card bills he could not afford to pay back. Just when he thought his situation could not get any worse, his beloved girlfriend, Amy Parkinson, dumped him.
Amy said, "I was just over his lack of motivation. Carl was the sweetest guy, but was in a never-ending hole. My girlfriends would continuously tell me that I needed someone with drive, who could look after me financially and I just never saw Carl being that person."
Carl then won £362,259.
Ex-girlfriend Amy's feelings for Carl miraculously changed and she felt they ought to give their relationship 'another go'.
I wonder why? ;-)

He was seeing a girl and then broke up with her. 3 months later she was part of a jackpot winning lottery syndicate.
:D:D
Mate was seeing the girl Karen.
It would be funny to see if she could put together some kind of reasoning that avoids the elephant in the room
True. Looks like she lacked self-esteem and relied on others telling her how to live her life.
Very sad.
Amazing how quickly the 'love' flame can get rekindled!
Amy's consolalation theme song.
Oh I think the reason she wants to get back together is clear, i'd just want to see if she had the cheek to actually try and paint some flowery picture of how she'd misjudged him or got it wrong or anything along those lines.
LOL this is the funniest story of the day. I bet he has more than his ex gf knocking on his door now.
Too right.
Indeed. He's VERY naïve if he takes her back now. I can't believe it if he can't see why she's changed her mind for. Their relationship, if he has gotten back with her, will probably only last as long as the money carries on flowing.
Or it could just be that this whole story is an ad for the casino...
