Just for fun before we kick off proceedings tonight. Lets see who can predict who will win in 2013 and where you think you will finish yourself?

For those new members who don't know what the hell I am talking about :D. On the DS General Discussion thread we have run contests for two years now. Some are Eurovision based and some are fantasy (where you can pick any song you would think basically could win the votes of your fellow FM's :p). New FM's are more then welcome :D


Over the year Queen Anne (BBAnne) complies the scores from every contest and announces the overall finishing positions for every FM that has taken place. She even gives out a small prize ;)
The past two winners and finishing positions have been

2010- ShadyNathan
2011- Marrakech

    Anyways this year I think I will drop down to about 12th but hope to finish about 7th or 8th :D

    Oh who :p. I think I added everyone who entered last year or posts regularly on the thread. Ofc the unknown ones are always the most dangerous :D

    Yeyyy have you picked your song for first round? The fantasy rounds are the best, really get to see peoples music tastes :p

    My thought too they rarely disappoint. Already have my congratulations Marrakech/Nathan message ready...pressure guys :p

    I'm going to go all over-optimistic about my song choices this year and vote me. :p I'd hazard a guess that either Nathan or NF could win it all this year though. ;)

    Sure.

    As a forum, we have a series of song contests during the part of the year where nothing Eurovision-related really happens apart from little snippets of news.

    Any one can enter. People send entries from Wednesday to Sunday to the forum member who is hosting that weeks contest via private message. On Sunday, the entries are revealed. Forum members then have until the next Sunday at around 5 or 6pm UK time to send their votes in the traditional Eurovision way - 12, 10, 8 etc. Later on, all the votes are revealed.

    Then, BBAnne (I hope!) will make a list of how many points each forum member gets from each contest, which depends on the placing you receive and how many entries there were in that weeks contest. For example, if there were 40 entries, the person in 1st would receive 40 points, the person in 2nd, 39 points and so on. At the end of the off-season, the points from all the contests are added up and BBAnne reveals the order in which forum members came overall. This is a thread for predictions of who will win overall.
