Latest score: Poland 0-2 Ukraine - 8 minutes gone.

Probably good news for us..mind you the trip to Ukraine won't be easy whereas we probably ough to beat Poland at home.

As for tonight...well the team cannot "win" as such but lets hope for a few goals and a confident performance.

They are demanding that the weaker countries pre-qualify for the right to play the bigger countries, like the mighty England who haven't won an international tournament since before man landed on the Moon

so they should. teams like san marino, faroe islands, Lichtenstein etc....its a waste of time playing them. The only competitive factor is how many goals are scored against them when it should be which team will win.

Let them pre qualify, like they do in the asian tournament. They might actually win occasionally then.

ITV throwing in the excuses already.

Lescott has played once in 6 games and that was only agains Barnsley.

Aye. Clive, because we're playing Brazil. When Lescott was playing against Barnsley the San Marino defenders were probably working in a shop

If they were playing a team who actually win stuff internationally, the ITV team might have a stronger case. However, using England as an example of one of those "strong teams" loses some credibility when one considers that England are piss poor themselves once they come up against serious tournament opposition.

Thirded. Does anyone like those pretentious nobs?

Such a small club feel about them. Probably the type of people who think playing music after you score is 'cool'

    Lampard misses a chance.

San Marino should be awarded a point for that save

    SM 1-0 ENG

didnt watch the build up so no idea what they said, im just replying to the bit of your post about teams like san marino pre qualifying for the qualifiers, which they should

If they were arguing for a staggered qualification system where teams like San Marino enter early, then meet teams like Wales, then teams like England, then teams like Spain, I would agree

I just heard that Roy Hodgson has resigned in shame after his team failed to score in the first 10 minutes.

How did you last so long? Did you have it on mute for the first 27.5 seconds?

I tuned it late to avoid any Chiles sightings or advert breaks.

    That doesn't count.

It's still 0-0 as far as I'm concerned.

What is that song they've just played? The only place I know it from is that stupid wood preservation advert.

Agreed - we shouldn't need an own goal to be winning this kind of match!

They've played Pig Bag (after we score) and Self Preservation

UEFA should deduct points for every time they play.
