From Yoko's point of view, she's just looking after her own son and not the son of her husband from a previous marriage. It may be selfish but I guess Yoko's just as brutally honest as John was I suppose.
Who cares whether he was his son from a previuos marriage, a previous relationship or a one night stand? Julian was his son, full stop.
No stepparent, second spouse, whatever, has the right to come between a parent and their child, even if she has one or ten herself.
The most tragic thing for Yoko and Sean is that they are reminded of John every time they look at Julian.
Actually Yoko is seen as an iconic figure in art and music, particularly to more underground and experimental artists.
If anyone's heard her track Walking on Thin Ice, she actually foreshadowed the electronic age of 80's disco.
Infact many of Yoko's work is seen as being before its time.
Not making excuses for her actions though, just saying that I appreciate her talents.

My opinion too.
Ah. That'll explain why she thought Katie and Cher were great.

Well someone has to, appreciate her that is.
It's a dirty job but someone's got to do it.
