An education for you: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was adapted from the 16th series of a Japanese franchise called Super Sentai. That show was called Kyoryuu Sentai Zyuranger - translated as Dinosaur Taskforce Beast Ranger, but Power Rangers used "Galaxy Rangers" in the credits as that was it's international distribution name. The morphed fight footage, zord footage and a lot of the villain footage were taken from Zyuranger, but in season 2 onwards more American footage was used, especially for the villains, as the Zyuranger footage ran out. They used mecha footage from Gosei Sentai Dairanger and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger as well in seasons 2 and 3. Production company Saban was purchased by Disney in 2002, and they continued the show until season 17, Power Rangers RPM, in 2009. Although they axed it, Haim Saban bought the franchise back a few months ago and is now filming an adaptation of the 33rd Sentai, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, which will become Power Rangers season 18, as yet un-named.
Yes I was a fan of the original power rangers in fact I was a massive fan.
My favourite ranger was the green ranger.
My favourite zord was the Dragonzord in Battle mode.
I loved power rangers! I really liked the original ones and the series where a new red, black and yellow ranger who came in to replace the original red (he was gorgeous), black and yellow.
However, their blatant love of Tommy was way out of hand. The funniest episode where he changed from the green to white ranger and was announced as the new leader, poor Jason he was replaced even without being told.

I remember about 5/6 years ago Fox kids used to show mmpr episodes one by one about 1/2am , used to love it lol
