Unable to access Google mail

I am not sure if anyone can help. I am havign probelms logging into my secondary Google mail account. I couldn't remember the password, so I went through the reset steps.
Each time I hit the reset button it said the passwords did not match. But I was very careful and they did match. Also the little pop up box didn't show for which account the new password for, it showed the main one I use then underneath it just showed <>

Does anyone have any idea as to what is wrong?
