Any Tom Baker era experts in the house?

I'm just wondering if there was an episode which had a character similar to the Fembots from the Bionic Woman: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/fembotblog2.jpg i.e. A woman whose face came off to reveal a robot underneath.

I had always assumed I saw this in a Baker era episode of Dr Who until I recently saw a picture of the Fembots. I remember thinking at the time that the eyes looked like the round stickle bricks http://www.educationessentials.co.uk/PRODUCTS/TS%20New%202013%20sm.jpg, but that doesn't fit with the Fembots. Anyway, it must have terrified me if I've remembered it all this time :D

The clothes look "Earth" so I'd say The Android Invasion.

Yes, definitely 'The Android Invasion'. It was this scene which seems to have lodged itself in my head: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DgNs83cq8bM/TxguqtuJABI/AAAAAAAAB2U/WPjbmf0WVU0/s1600/face_off.jpg And who said it was a myth that Dr Who had us running behind the settee?!
    Thank you both!

Autons STILL creep me out. I used to have to cover up the Spearhead from Space VHS as I couldn't bear looking at them. I'm doing a run through from the very beginning and am dreading having to watch it again.

Excellent cliffhanger: Sarah Jane is obviously an android at that point, but her face falling off is a shocker nonetheless.

that first photo looks kind of photoshopped

I've got android invasion and there's nothing like that scene in it

are you sure it's definitely from dr who..?

No, that's a still from Bionic Woman that he was using as a comparison. ;-) The design of the Fembot and the Kraal Android look incredibly similar though! Wonder which came first?

I remember it. That particular scene scared the crap out of a very young Evil Genius.

I have ANOTHER Tom Baker related question if I may hijack the thread for a second!

I have 2 early childhood DW memories that I can't place:

    1) Creatures who kill by rubbing their furry bodes against people. Did I dream this?

    2) Tom Baker is hiding behind an old stone wall. A Dalek shoots at him. He ducks, then grins.

    1. WolfWeeds maybe

    2. TB only had two Dalek stories. Can't say for certain but it sounds more like Destiny of the Daleks than Genesis.

I'd say The Android Invasion. The Fembots from the Bionic Woman are very similar to Sarah Jane Smith's Android copy, as witnessed here:

Tom Baker's Doctor has also had another Dalek story, but that was an audio one, done for Big Finish in 2012:

At last, Leela (Louise Jameson), finally got to meet the Daleks! :D

I've got EOTD on CD, and I can honestly say, it is a really enjoyable listen. I got this last year, and I've heard it three times already! :)

I've also got The Dalek Contract on CD, plus the second part to it on another CD.

    http://www.bigfinish.com/img/release/2.6-dalek-contract_cover_large.jpg

This one features the first Romana (Mary Tamm), and K9, come fame to face with the Daleks. I got this one partly because on TV, the first Romana never saw the Daleks, only Lalla Ward's version did. Also K9 hasn't seen the Daleks on TV either. He was stuck in Sarah's Attic with Luke when the events of The Stolen Earth happened.

Thanks Corwin! I think you've solved both my queries :)
