Now also seems like a good time to list UK pick ups, none of these have any information or a date yet:
666 Park Avenue - ITV2 - TV adaptation of Gabriel Pierce's novel. A new couple become co-managers of a hotel with a dark side.
Animal Practice - ITV2 - Sitcom, from Arrested Development/Community's Joe and Anthony Russo, about a vet who must deal with rich (and occasionally deluded) pet owners.
Arrow - Sky1 - TV adaptation of DC's the Green Arrow comic series
Ben & Kate - ITV2 - Sitcom about Kate, who's brother Ben moves in to help care for her daughter
Elementary - Sky Living - Crime procedural update to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series.
The Following - Sky Atlantic - Thriller about a network of serial killers
The New Normal - E4 - Sitcom, from Glee/American Horror Story's Ryan Murphy, about a gay couple, their surrogate and the group of characters they meet.
Up All Night - ITV2 - Sitcom about talk show manager who becomes pregnant. Now in second series.
Vegas - Sky Atlantic - Western set in 1960's Las Vegas about a sheriff and some gangsters...
Really have acquired the rights to season 2 of Hart of Dixie
Syfy have acquired the rights to The River season 1 - watched this off itunes a few months back, if you like Paranormal Activity style handicam stuff then you'll like this
I really am the only person in the world that doesn't like Modern Family...
And you don't like Parks And Recreation either, or Breaking Bad, which combined with antipathy for Modern Family makes you -- I don't know -- evil, I guess.:D

I'm willing to give Parks and Rec. another shot if it ever comes to the UK. I just saw one episode and it was shockingly bad. In my mind 22 mins perhaps isn't enough to decide, but until it becomes easier to watch I shall give it a miss.
I don't hate Breaking Bad, it's just not the gripping superdrama it was made out to be. (And before anyone asks, no one explicitly said that, but judging by the mass outrage that it isn't on TV, I assumed that). It's was alright, but I prefer Homeland and Political Animals
Modern Family is just boring, there's only one episode (The Incident) that's ever made me laugh out loud, the rest just a few minor chuckles and as far as I'm concerned that's just not good enough...

Breaking Bad IS "gripping superdrama.":) I watched all of Political Animals and found it not bad, but mediocre at best. Modern Family and Parks and Recreation are both great. So we disagree a lot, but at least we have some common ground in thinking highly of Homeland. Cheers.:D
SyFy will be showing The River on Tuesday, October 9th at 10pm. The series was cancelled after season one so once the 8 original episodes have aired that's it.
Comments
Really looking forward to 'The Following'. Anyone know an estimated start date at all?
Also, BBC Four have been in talks to acquire Parks and Rec. though nothing has been finalized, check this report from 9 days ago http://www.tvwise.co.uk/2012/08/exclusive-bbc-four-parks-and-recreation/
