My name was going to be Alexander, which I would have changed at the first chance I got as soon as I learned what a complete and utter sCee yoU Next Tuesday my father was.
Not that I don't want to change the name I have now which every keeps on telling me is a lovely name as if that is going to change my opinion
If mum got her choice i would have been called rebecca. Dad wasnt keen because two of his workmates had just had rebeccas so it was quite common amongst people he knew s wanted a different name so it didnt look like he had copied.
If my dads mum had a choice id have been called alice maud. Apparently that was my great grandmothers name and my nan was convinced dad had told her i would be named after her. They never intended to but nan wont let it drop! Thank god my parents werent influenced by her.

If I was a boy I was going to be called Oliver.
That is the first time I heard it but I don't live in the UK

I do find it funny, on a personal note that Matt Lucas is a Jew.
Not that Jews shouldn't be gay, but anyway. LMAO (no pun intended).
My middle name. Too many sexual connotations. Which is why I never use it. Just like being called Dick (Richard).
Not that it stopped anyone else calling me that during school anyway...

When my mother told me this, a kind of glow lit up her face as though it was utterly amazing and fascinating - which puzzled me even more.
I'm really sorry, but I just wondered why my parents had no imagination. Etc.
My sons would have been Rachel and Victoria if they'd been girls.
