All songs off Itunes gone

Last night I was on Itunes, listening to my music as usual and everything was fine. Just went on my library and playlists now, and nothing is there. All my purchases have gone and all my playlists have just disappeared.

I've looked in my Music and the Itunes folder and everything is still there on my hard drive, but why has it all gone off Itunes??

    About 10 minutes ago I started transferring them back to my playlists and stuff, and just checked again now and its all gone again. Whats going on?

    sounds like your library file might be corrupted. Can you restore the iTunes library file from your backup?

    How would I do that? I'm a bit of a technophobe lol

    well, depends whether you're on a PC or mac and where you've backed your computer up to - external hard drive maybe, or DVDrs?

    If the files are still on your hard drive - you could try dragging the iTunes folder into iTunes....
