I don't know how anyone can say The Sun and The Daily Mail are bad newspapers, you might not agree with their politics but they're not bad newspapers like The Star and The Express.

And I'd choose anything over The Guardian. This thread is so subjective!
No, you can argue you disagree with papers, but you don't have leg to stand on if you think The Guardian is the 'worst paper'. I don't agree with the Telegraph, but i would not for a second say its journalists, editorials, ethical standards and quality of reporting is the worst in the Country. And you cannot make that argument for The Guardian either.
On here any pro-tory papers are automatically marked as racist, fascist etc.
The Times and The Telegraph are centre right papers, don't think many would argue them to be racist and fascist. The Times is ran by Murdoch and I wouldn't go near it. But the you can make a STRONG case that the Express and the Daily Mail have large racist, xenophobic and sometimes homophobic readership and as such the papers accommodate to that.
Read alot of different newespaper and as said the Express is far from perfect but has better news coverage than the red tops and in keeping with tabloids generally better sports/football coverage than the qualities.
However you are defining 'worst paper' I'd say either the Mirror which is appallingly put together and the Independant which is a joke and charges a pound for the priviledge.
How can you say the express is a good paper sports/football wise?
It is garbage and covers hardly any games outside of the Premier (if it does cover many Championship games they are the main ones involving the main teams and may-be 5 at the most. If you want good footy coverage, mysself i'd buy the Daily star (which is somehow related to the Express)
The Mirror is defenitly Imho a good all round paper that seems to report with intregity!
A pair of rose-tinted spectacles must be worn to read articles in the Daily Mail, which describe how everything was great in the 1950s before the Islamic Conquest and the introduction of drugs, fat women, asylum seekers, paedophiles, Jonathan Ross, Russell Brand, the homeless, Brown people and the invention of sex made daily life intolerable for the conservative middle-class Chelsea tractor driving mums and retired army colonels that inhabit these sceptred isles.

Actually, I would have said, from my own experience, that these are the last people to read the Daily Mail. These types tend to read the Times or the Telegraph.
I find (simply based on observation in my village) that the people who read the Mail tend to be those who are unsure or unhappy about their position in life. They no longer consider themselves to be working class but are not quite confident enough that they are middle-class. They therefore look to the Mail to provide them with enough clues as to how to proceed to be proper Little Englanders.
And before you jump down my throat - yes, I freely admit it is an incredibly snobbish thing that I have said above.
But then, as I said, it is based purely on the people I know who read the Mail where I live.
To be honest all the right wing papers have been a disgrace even the serious centre right heavies such as Telegraph and Times. Usually they try to veil their bias by trying to presented the other angle. But even they have been very open in their bias in this election. I used to be a Telegraph reader, knowing full well it was a centre right paper even though my allegiances don't lie there. But since the election has been called I've switched to the Guardian although I must profess to buying it on Monday's for the media section and media jobs. But now it seems I've made the switch permanent with the way the Torygraph has covered this election. It's almost as bad as one of the tabloids.
The Daily Wail, The Daily Hate, The Daily Heil, The Daily Bile, The Daily Hate Mail and The Daily Fail
Can we please stop all the above rubbish! Those who persist in such pathetic, childish behaviour are no better than that which they choose to attack. For Gods sake grow up man!!

Of course I can argue The Guardian is my worst paper (subjective, see?) because I despise their left-wing politics. After that the quality of the journalism becomes irrelevant.

In order of quality downwards it probably goes like this:
The Times
The Daily Telegraph
The Independant
The Guardian
The Daily Mail
The Daily Express
The Daily Mirror
The Sun
The Daily Star
There's not much to choose between the top 3, Mail is obssesed with immigration. The Sun and Star are obsessed with celebrities(Z list big brother type).

4. Star
5. Express
6. Telegraph
