I never had Anne for somebody to do a leaving melodrama, she must have felt depressed.

I have both these people to thank for helping me in the past. I hope they come back soon.

Annie and Flagpole are two of this sections most helpful members, it's a shame to see them banned/leave.

    Goodbye
Due to ill health and remarks I am getting for issuing useful Sky information that are not helping, I am sad to announce that I have had enough and you will be getting no more information from me

    Good luck in the future.

    Annie..........

    That`s all I can find..........

    Sounds rash to me.

Don't let the many people you may help suffer from your absence.

Come back Annie, come back Pole.

She returned after posting that, though. She posted that on 21/3 but was back 03/04 to 06/04. Apparently Sky didn't want her to leave. Not sure if that means Digital Sky or 'Sky' sky... I notice she was also having problems with this Hugh_ muppet...

So where did you get that information, and do you know the reason for the ban?

Anyone remember our two proper Mac evangelists we had here a few years ago? No matter what you said Apple should be worshipped worldwide in their opinion which was, of course, always right.

Would one of those be Vallhund? He became inactive March 2011...

That was Vallhund wasn't it? He was a real turtleneck wearing, Starbucks drinking, Windows bashing, Steve Jobs worshipping Apple evangelist. I kinda miss his posts :o We need a new Mac evangelist to take over.

I think Rottweiller has already grabbed that role :D He's only been using them about a year (I can remember him posting about trying one out, wanting to run a Hackintosh beforehand) but he's a total die-hard now. Whenever anyone mentions getting a new PC, for whatever reason, he always suggests a Mac and, in most cases, throws the thread up in the air. Blinkered and unwittingly hilarious :D

    Sent him a pm lol.
Took a punt based on a website he has previously referred wto. Also took the view that discussing why someone is banned probably isn't welcomed.

Wow, looks there is some serious douchebaggery going on in the Sky forum. If thats an indication of what the other threads were like its no wonder she took off.

One does not have a control over other people, the best thing is to ignore. Anne with her knowledge should not need an approval of anybody else.

A forum is a wrong place for it though, you won't get it everywhere all the time. A professional success is a better measurement, being attacked by some armchair IT "specialist" on a forum means nothing.

There are many forums where its easy to seek out approval. Specialist forums where your peers congregate, such as dieters, alchoholics, car enthusiasts, etc.

I'd imagine if you are a long term helper on here that you gain some sort of approval from that.

Having some numpty tell you you're wrong will wear you down no matter how much you tell yourself the other person is some fat bloke who gets a little too excited about his own self importance.

It only takes a moment of weakness to take something personally.
