I see your blanket support for anything the SNP do is alive and well.
People should be allowed to make up their own minds which way they will vote and underneath the DRs usual slant there is an element of truth. The more extreme Nats who have joined the ranks of the SNP will cause them a few embarassing moments over the coming months.
Anyone should be allowed to canvass without having their photo plastered all over FB for doing it and I'm sure you would be outraged if it was happening the other way around.
Do you actually read the links? What part of a single Branch being daft and getting a bollocking did you miss? And you and your fellow anti-SNP buddies jump on it to try and tar all with the same brush. dear oh dear.
And where did I say I supported this? Please link as I cannot remember saying any such thing. For the record, they are pillocks who are an embarrassment. That good enough for you?

Who are all these buddies you refer to jumping on it and tarring all with the same brush?
BTW what's wrong with being anti-SNP; I'm guessing you don't have a problem with people being anti-Tory, anti-red Tory, anti-UKIP.

OK so it's a bit sinister and the SNP have told the branch concerned not to do it.
OTOH, if you go canvasing then unless you wear a wig and false moustache you might be recognized. Being named and shamed is a risk you take when you pin your colours to the mast.

I find your named and shamed rhetoric underlies the rest of your post.
You seem to be suggesting that's it's shameful to support any other party than the SNP where in reality those that support the Lib Dems, Labour, the Tories and others have as much right to their convictions as anyone else.
I would imagine there's as much shame in pinning an SNP colour to a mast as there is a Lib Dem one or Labour if you don't happen to be a Nationalist?

I think that Orri was pointing out that if you canvass for a political party you will be publicly recognised as a supporter of that party.

Of course you will and no one is disputing this but to take things further and post photos of them online perhaps goes a wee bit too far. But Im not accusing Orri of supporting this.
What I do take issue is that supporting any mainstream party is considered shameful? If people genuinely believe in Tory, Labour or SNP values I don't personally consider them shameful.

Really, well no one is posting pictures on line. Orri did not say it was shameful to support a political party he used a colloquialism expressing the view that if you publicly support a political party then you will be recognised publicly as supporting that political party. No need to get all lathered up about it , especially as you are someone who thinks all politicians and political parties are beyond the pail anyway.

I'm sorry but given the context was that the Labour supporters who refused to answer as set of questions honestly were to be publicized as liars then where's the problem? I mean we have programs like Watchdog exposing other kinds of door to door fraudsters. Or does canvassing for the Labour party give a license to shill?
On a more serious note, doesn't the fact that the Record had to sneak in a reference to the fact that this was one branch of the SNP who've already been told not to do it show this for the storm in a teacup it is?

So if an SNP canvasser came to my door and said "independence is in the best interests of Scotland", because I deem that as a lie you would be comfortable if I posted a picture of him online under the banner 'SNP liars'.
The above is ridiculous, but who decides what is a lie. At least watchdog will have some journalistic rigour.

Yep and Watchdog would be aware of the dangers of thieves using canvassing as a pretext for getting a quick look inside someones house. Who knows perhaps one of those purporting to be representing Labour might be known to the Police? Of course simply reporting them to the police might be classed as wasting their time but anyone who comes to my door and acts in a suspicious manner better have a good reason as to why I can't take their picture.
OTOH I'd have thought the phrase "license to shill" might be a clue as to my intent. The whoosh you heard was it flying over your head.
