Everybody looking forward to Black Mirror Episode 2 this Sunday?

Great cast and surprisingly co-written by Konnie Huq!

Synopsis:
Dark satire set in a future reality where everyone is confined to a life of physical drudgery - unless they can impress the judges of a popular talent show. Written by Charlie Brooker and Konnie Huq, and starring Daniel Kaluuya, Rupert Everett, Jessica Brown Findlay, Julia Davis and Ashley Thomas.

I am excited about this, after last episode, which was surprisingly good for me. :D

I only just noticed this while looking through the christmas tv guide - i love the idea of the second episode, and also the third as well so i'm glad I can catch them now rather than wait a few weeks.

Although both sound like they could potentially have both been novels by Ben Elton :)

I only caught the end of last weeks and it was quite strange, this one looks good though.

Liking this so far. One thing- haven't quite sussed if he's losing merits every time he does stuff (like washing hands) or gaining them. Anyone know?

It's certainly looking a lot better than the sack of shite that was last week's offering.

Hugely derivative of course- Brave New World meets 1984 but let's see what happens...

I think he gains them by working in the gym ( I'm thinking like a hamster on a wheel)

Then for everything else he is loosing credits. Also seem to loose them if you want to stop the tv adverts.

I was wondering if it was supposed to be so sodding dull, then I found out that derivative luvvie dullard Brooker wrote it.

Thinking a weird thing watching this. The exercise bikes could be a good way to power dynamos and produce electricity and doing that wouldn't be a job I would entirely hate.

Get paid to pedal and produce electricity and keep fit at the same time.

I'm enjoying some of the detail added to the monitors and screens,

After he bought an apple the screen said "people who bought an apple also bought a banana"

    Lol

And nothing about your post is derivative at all.

    Oh, no!

It's more a piss-take on FaceBook than Reality TV as far as I can see. Better than most of the garbage on TV though :)

One of the most horrifying things in this dystopian future is how f*cking bad the porn is. Wrath Babes?

Its not gonna end well for Bing I suspect. I'm enjoying this, a vast difference to last week's show.

All a bit in-yer-face having to pay with credits to remove it from your screen though :(

The 'reality' part is still to come I think, does seem to be mostly about Internet and virtual life aspects at the moment.

Though it doesn't seem particularly deep. All of the 'future' technology is pretty much as it probably would be.

Though I wouldnt be surprised if Nintendo Wii filed a copyright complaint :)

I think they call it a homage.
