Why do you put this on every post?
I have so many faves. My top 2 of both gender at this moment in time are Yoko Ono & Paul Simon.
Fave duo are Goldfrapp. The Moody Blues, group.
Solo Female: Kate Bush/Madonna (up to Ray of Light..excluding Erotica & I'm Breathless)
Girlband & Boyband: To be described as artists is insulting to artists, you are having a laugh with this category right?
Group: The Beatles/The Doors/Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin (Depends on my mood at the time)
Solo female artist -> Britney Spears (in fact my fave artist of all time full stop)
Girlband -> Sugababes (honourable mentions go to The Pussycat Dolls, Girls Aloud and The Saturdays)
Boyband don't have one
Mixed group -> ABBA
Ellie Goulding- That voice and her way with words.
Katy Perry- When pop is this good nothing compares.
Alanis Morrissette- A wonderful way with words and each album different but brilliant.
The Smiths- nobody compares.
The Cure - just for being quietly subversive and even producing some superb singles.
Siouxsie & The Banshees - just for having been there.
They are all literally mine!
Rihanna
Lana Del Rey

Pop music didn't start in the mid /late90s you know.
What about all those far greater bands and singers from the 60s-80s?.
I'm guessing the number in the user name denotes age
While I also prefer the music of the 60's, 70's and (early) 80's to what's come since, the majority of members of this forum are rather young, so why are you expecting them to favour artists and bands whose best work was recorded before they were born?
