If you could work a 4-day week....

..which 3 days a week would you choose as non-working?:D

Pretend that it does not have to include weekend.

But I'm thinking Sat/Sun/Mon - nice block of 3, friends and family free for 1st 2, and work (or just people) tend to wind down somewhat on a Friday, so would more "benefit" skipping hectic Monday.

Definitely Sat/Sun/Mon, means you could go out on Fri or Sat night and still have plenty of recovery time. One can dream :)

I already work a compressed week....I work 5 days (hour wise) but do them in 4.

    So I get Friday/Saturday/Sunday off :)

I'd happily work 4 12 hour days to get 3 days off a week.

It's a hard one, some weeks I would want Friday off and some I would want Monday off but that would just make Tuesday Monday. 3 day weeks would be better

Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I used to work at a little factory where we worked 9 hours Monday to Thursday and 4 hours on Friday morning. We would have loved to do a ten-hour day and have all of Friday off, and even the owner wanted to, but we had to stay open for deliveries on Friday. When I think about it now, I'm sure he could have come up with some sort of staggered rota where just a couple of us came in on a Friday once every couple of months.
Why do these good ideas come to me quarter of a century too late?

That sounds like shift work to me.

I used to work a four day week, now I work 4.2 days per week. The 0.2 extra days definitely makes a (negative) difference.
Days off, I'm not fussed, other than I'd like to have Saturday off and work Sunday.

I am contracted to work a 4 day week Mon-Thurs

However as we are so busy at this time of the year I normally end up working on a Friday as overtime!

    Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

I like the thought of never working more than two days in a row. :p

4 days a week would be double what I work now so a bit of a step backward for me.

...It would still be 4 days too many for me.

That's what I do and it's brilliant! Whenever I'm fed up I can comfort myself that I never have to do more than 2 days. If I ever need a long weekend I just change my day off to Friday or Monday.

I'd have Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday off. That way I would never have to work more than two days on the trot.

"Row" or "trot"? Well I like "row", but on the other hand I also like "trot"..There's only one way to decide.... ;)

I work 4 days out of 7 and it suits me just fine. I almost always work the weekend but its a 12 o clock start on a Sunday so it feels like a half day. The only problem with this is, next week I am working Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues/Sat/Sun. It still works out 4 days per week but I can't help feeling a wee bit cheated:(
