Hmm I am not sure a man who chooses to live in the USA and not the UK should get that kind of honour - a knight of the realm. Personal view.

Jayne lives in the UK so a stronger case.

I think they are both great ambassadors for sport in this country and deserve it.

They have bought skating to the forefront again and my rink for one is a lot busier. My coach has said she's getting booked up.

If that foul-mouthed little Govan ned wideboy Alex Ferguson can get one...

This inspiring couple who have brought grace, panache, and elegance to the ice for more than 25 years should have got one long ago.

I said as much on this forum last year.

Come on Lizzie, see sense.

    Best comment of the night!

Jayne & Chris are way overdue for a nighthood.

Dame Jayne Torvill & Sir Christopher Dean ---> exactly how it should be ;)

    Why??

Knighthoods aren't given out for long service and good conduct - they are given for achieving something spectacular or for good works or outstanding service.

Bruce has already got an MBE and a CBE why should he be given a knighthood for simply doing what these days is a bad job?

Agreed that T&D are LONG overdue higher recognition though.

They were both awarded OBE's in 1999.
