James talks about blanking. "It happens to all of us," he says while looking over to Pasha for support. Pasha nods but his eyes are saying Never happened on my watch yet, Jordan, and never will.

Strictly messes with my gaydar. I was certain about Louis, Artem, James and Brendan. Darren Bennett has permanently damaged my gaydar machine.

Not sure which is spoiling which here, the dance spoiling the music or vice versa!

The bottom two on the leaderboard in the dance off the public got it right.

I think Nicky should have been marked aboveLisa last night. Still, he'd probably still have been in the dance off.

Why oh why does everyone insist on murdering this song?

There is only one person who can do it and that's the original!

Yes! When you are behind the speakers you can't hear yourself and so the earpiece 'foldback' the vocals to your ear.

Bands in the 60s, 70s, 80s (and even today) use monitor speakers. The wedge shaped small speaker on stage facing the singer.

There wouldn't be much point these days singing without earpieces. The ALW singing shows all started using earpieces after the girls in the first one couldn't hear the music over the studio noise. The recent interview with the strictly singers had them saying they still couldn't hear the music sometimes over the audience clapping and shouting. The judges on Fame Academy by some reports could never hear the singing over the studio noise and often marked what they ahd heard in the rehearsal.
