We all know which 15 acts will be on next week's TV extravaganza on BBC 1 but which 15 (plus an interval act) would you have invited? Here's who would made my list:

1. Lulu (representing the UK and the 1960s)
2. Gigliola Cinquetti (60s/70s) (medley of her 2 entries)
3. Anne-Marie David (70s) (medley of her 2 songs)
4. Mocedades (70s)
5. Milk and Honey (70s)
6. Johnny Logan (80s) (medley)
7. Bobbysocks (80s)
8. Nicole (80s)
9. Carola (80s/90s/00s) (medley of her 3 entries)
10. Azucar Moreno (90s) complete with faulty tape start
11. Dana International (90s)
12. Chiara (90s/00s) medley
13. Sertab Erener
14. Lordi
15. Conchita Wurst

(Bucks Fizz ruled out because of the legal dispute between the 2 rival groups with that name)

interval act: Riverdance segueing into "Waterloo" performed by Bjorn Again

hosted by Toto Cotugno and Katie Boyle

Nicki French selling choc ices in the interval, Linda Martin working the coat check, Scooch giving out chupa chups in the loos ("something to suck on, sir?").

Quality entertainment!

(OK my suggestions for hosts may not have been entirely serious;-) )

I agree with nearly all of your choices, vauxhall1964.

But why is Linda Martin working the coat check..? :p

Mine would be a no-expenses spared extravaganza, but obviously tied in with reality (so no dead artists, unless Derek Acorah can do a Michael Jackson-esque seance and channel the spirit of Kathy Kirby, and no ABBA, because really...)

    1) Puppet On A String, plus a chorus of Refrain (Sandie Shaw, with Lys at the end)
    2) Ooh Ah ... Just A Little Bit (Gina G)
    3) Eres Tu/ Quedate conmigo (Amaya Uranga and Pastora Soler MEGA DUET MASH-UP)
    4) Satellite (Lena)
    5) Volare (Alfie Boe - what with Domenico being somewhat tied-up/ dead, Alfie's version isn't too bad and it wouldn't be right to ignore arguably the most successful song the contest has ever produced)
    6) Poupée de cire, poupée de son (France Gall with Arcade Fire)
    7) 60 Years of Novelty Song Mega Medley (Bem bom/ Dsinghis Khan/ Mil etter mil/ Euro-Vision/ We Are The Winners/ Dancing Lasha Tumbai)

INTERVAL Riverdance/ Irish dance flashmob across Euroe (combining the best two interval acts ever, natch)

    8) What's Another Year/ Hold Me Now (Johnny Logan)
    9) Wild Dances (Ruslana)
    10) Främling/ Fångad av en stormvind/ Invincible/ Take Me To Your Heaven/ Hero/ Waterloo (Carola/ Charlotte Perrelli Swedish-anthem/ Schlager-diva mega medley)
    11) Hard Rock Hallelujah (Lordi)
    12) Il Faut Du Temps (Sandrine Francois)
    13) Diva (Dana International)
    14) Euphoria/ Rise Like A Phoenix (orchestral version of Euphoria, heading into RLAP - Loreen and Conchita)
    15) Love Shine A Light (Katrina and all of the acts taking part in the show, a'la USA For Africa)

The song to clear out the auditorium: Drama Queen (Drag mega-medley featuring Sestre, DQ and Linda Martin)

That's what she said when I put her in there..."why me?"

It's my punishment for 'Terminal Three'.

    :D:D

I prefer "Terminal 3" to "Why Me" though... ;)

I am looking forward to seeing both Ann-Marie David and Natasha St Pier. Two strong songs. Unfortunately, the actual song (Netherlands made a pretty decent attempt to revive it last year) has become much less important than gimmicks in recent years.

Other songs I would like to hear again would be:-

    'L'Amour Est Bleu'
    'Poupee De Cire'
    'I Treni Di Tozeur'
    'Molitva'
    'Monts Et Merveilles'

Totally agree with your first three.
Not sure I know the bottom two.

Two I would like to see are the first and second placed entries from 1972 when the contest was staged at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh

    1. Vicky Leandros with Apres Toi (Greek lady singing in French for Luxembourg; how much more Eurovision can you get? ;-) )

    2. The New Seekers with Beg, Steal or Borrow.

In my view, Apres Toi is the best winning entry of all time, even eclipsing Waterloo.

I guess since they've publicly stated they won't ever perform together again, people take it to be kind of hopeless to include them ;)
