Channel 5's new observational documentary following East Yorkshire Motor Services 'On The Yorkshire Buses' starts this Friday 11th June at 8pm on Channel 5 - it's an eight part series and looks like it is going to be a good watch!

Episode 1 synopsis - the school holidays have arrived and there is a shortage of drivers for the busy Saturday shift, so controller Simon juggles his resources to keep the services going and calls in ex-bank manager Rod to cover one of the rural routes. In Scarborough, Paul Fryatt puts out the timetables for the summer open-top tour buses, but the boss of rival operator Shoreline Suncruisers is determined to keep one step ahead of him.
That white haired bus driver with the big silver earring!!
Not exactly the most intense war between companies, both blokes having a chat all day and then if it hits the fan, both just go and get a slush puppy!
Scarborough looked lovely too.
Great start to this series.
Maybe if they had done this earlier they might have avoided the sale of the station
You're not the same poster under a different name who in the 100% rumour thread decided that if two single blokes get in a car together and go to the cinema without female company to see a film they are 'gay ' are you ?????😳
Just always thought it odd why any bloke would wear an earring. Bad enough on a young bloke but older men look even more silly.
i have worn an earring since i was 17.. why should i have to take it out because we all grow older! and we all age.. should all people who are over 40 have their tattoos removed,
talk sense.. wake up and smell the coffee.
Try saying how naff they look to several premier league players who have them
And living and formally working as I did in Manchester I see dozens of lads who wear them gay and straight .. Not my thing nor are tattoos but hey live and let live 😁
So will I
Spent many happy hours in Scarbro as a child and having spent time in Hull agree totally with how clean their buses are
They make Stagecoach look like the poor relation
The producers actually rang me up and asked if I wanted to take part as a talking head, as a passenger on them, but I couldn't make the filming day.
Allegedly Prince Albert wore a "ring", and gave his name to the said addition
Don't think he was gay
I have to say that where I live in Greater Manchester Stagecoach do an excellent job of maintaining their vehicles and keeping them clean.
My only complaint in Hull was using the 350 by Stagecoach (also run by EYMS). I was doing it for sightseeing (to Scunthorpe...I know), yet SC had decided to wrap pretty much the entire vehicle in Humber Fastcat vinyls - and not even the contraview vinyl you can at least see something out of. In contrast, EYMS just run plain buses.
