Didn't someone post that Chris Chittal who plays Eric hinted on a show last week that there were going to be two deaths in Emmerdale.

Also how would Gennie be involved in helping Jude plan the funeral. Surely it would be Jimmy and Nicola's role

I think that was a tongue in cheek comment made by a couple of cast members in reference to the fact that it was almost as if Carl was killed twice, he was hit fairly hard twice and most of all two different people now believe they murdered the same person

Jude is the vicar but someone on the forums made a reference yesterday that Gennie assists Jude with the funeral which made me think that Chas was going to die and not Carl
