{{{{Cue Jaws Theme}}}}} Josh Dubovie is still around....only now he has chnaged his name to Josh James LOL

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_James_%28singer%29

Part of me would like Josh to get another go, he certainly wasn't the worst vocalist ever (certainly the best of the crop from that year) and he's actually grown into being rather good looking once he ditched the clean cut image from That Sounds good to me. It's not his fault the song was a turd

I think that's a given tbh, given what they're supposed to be looking for. #Doomed :p

Yes the unfortunate thing is that Electro Velvet could finish 13th or 14th in the televote, but still be wiped out by the new ranking system and placed last (or even vice versa!) :D

@bbceurovision Twitter have said that the stage is like a turntable, so the centre rotates? :o

lmfa I now have visions of the revolving bar in the Brunell rooms in Swindon where i spent my very mispent youth, very disorentating after a few drinks lol

The three girls are providing backing vocals and that's her co-composer and mentor Greg French on the right

On watching it back after last night: Very good, the only thing I didn't like about her performance last night were the backings vocals. Didn't mix well with her voice imo. Her voice is very unique and interesting, but was sometimes overshadowed by the shreak of them. Needs to be more UMPH as well, the last minute was revamped but there was no key change or anything, like they didn't even notice it. Pointless. Overall though, it's a lot better than I expected. It needs more life in Vienna though.

Well the soundmix was obviously all wrong (as per usual in that studio). The girls were too high in the mix, especially the girl on the cello. You would imagine ORF will have the soundmix perfect on the night with Molly very much to the forefront.

The song and performance is what it is, its just a question of what the juries and voters make of it now. She's going into the Contest with no pressure on her and with no expectations from anyone of a high placing, she has totally flown under the radar this year.

Molly's performance from last night if anyone is interested, jump to 1.26.00

I must say I love the extra instrumentals they've added to the last third of the song, I'm really intrigued to see how well this will do.

Think Ireland is one of my least listened to songs. Think I am going to make a playlist up of songs I don't like or barely listen to this week to give them a chance

This, I know I've said it before but I do feel their biggest hurdle is qualifying.

Agree with everyone who sees Ireland as a dark horse.

Me too! Although is it still a dark horse even if everyone expects it to be a dark horse? #FoxyRiddle :kitty:

Ireland's biggest issue is getting out of the semi final. Then it's anyone's guess, but I can see it being on the left side of the board.

Ireland's love is almost as baffling as Latvia.

I feel bad for not liking it, as Molly seems really sweet in all the interviews I've seen her do :(

You're right, we need a term for this - a dark horse which is not in fact a dark horse because so many people think it is a dark horse.

    Suggestions?
