Just wondering how much you pay for electric a month?

Ours has just gone up from £50 to £57

Really don't see how it's that high

It's an old house in an exposed location with knackered windows.

As an average over 12 months I pay approx £80 per month. However I don't have mains gas so my heating is electric as well.

See I could understand if there's heating involved but we have no heating

It's probably similar to what we're paying for ours - we pay £130 per month for both. We don't have electric heating. There are two of us in a large three bedroom house, we have a gas cooker and no tumble drier (two things that use a lot of electricity). It's difficult to compare with other people as everyone is different.

£21 for electric. £5 for gas. The gas bill has been wrong for 12 months or more but despite my many attempts to sort it out the gas company just will not take my money. Might switch my electric to them aswell.

Between £70 and £80 per month. We have 4 people in our house, I'm home most of the day, and my step-son has the fan going in his room all night and half the day. If he would open his window and let the air flow through, he wouldn't need the fan, but he thinks the bugs will come in and infest his room if he leaves it open. He has strange ideas sometimes.

I have one of those prepayment meters and roughly spend 20 pounds a month. But I do try and not use a lot of electric and I'm the only one living here so that's why I don't pay that much.

My electric bill fluctuates from as low as £40 to £90.

In the winter my gas bill peaked at £83, but last month it was only £13.

£95 per month for both. Just had a new combi boiler fitted free of charge under the ECO scheme, so hopefully the bills will go down.

£22 a month for Leccy, £5-£10 a month for gas.

I keep getting Electric Bills saying I'm X amount in debit but they keep insisting that the £22 a month will cover it ..

I'd get a dual fuel deal if my cooker wasn't officially 'unsafe'

Surely it depends on how many rooms you have, how many appliances you run, how many lights you have on!

I pay 120 per month gas and electric. Try and build up credit during the summer as the gas bills are much higher in the winter because of heating costs.

£38 a month for Electricity to EDF, Heating and DHW (domestic hot Water) is OIL and we use approx 1200litres a year. The cost of OIL varies a lot ,but I only buy once a year in July as we have a 2500 litre tank. this is when oil prices are lower. Usually less than 50p a litre.

I've just had my annual recalculation and my direct debit has gone down from £95 to £82 a month for gas and electric. Not sure what the split is between gas and electric.

The reduction is partly due to a very mild winter so I was more in credit than usual and I have been making more of an effort to be energy efficient by turning things off and fitting lower energy LED light bulbs. Replacing 50W bulbs with 4W ones can make a big difference.

It depends on the type of property and appliances I think. I don't have a washing machine [well one that works lol] And my hot water, heating and cooker is gas not electric.
There are two of us living in a three bedroom house [my youngest is at Uni so away most of the time] and my daughterwho lives with me is at work most days.

I am careful about how much I use as I am on a very low income atm, so I turn off anything I'm not using and have those horrible eco lightbulbs.

Around £20, but this is nearer £15 when the heating is not on.
