It seems we get penalised for having a good season...
We just have to hope we'll have bolstered our squad by then. It was always going to be a tougher season with challenges from the start which is just where we're at at the moment.
I read this on him back in March and thought I will keep an eye on him in the future, obviously not expecting him to come to Newcastle.
At only 18 I don't really expect him to be playing much of a part in next seasons campaign similar to Abeid this season. But with extra Europa League games and possiblly more LC and FA cup games he may prove important
I've never actually been to see him play but he's well regarded here in Coventry - there were a couple of articles about "City's latest young starlet" as they referred to him.
I caught a bit of the televised championship game with the Sky Blues playing and he struck me as a midfielder who likes to get stuck in - so much so that he got sent off IIRC - maybe a bit in the Cheik Tiote mould.
We also used to be in the music group at church together but I haven't seen him since I left at the end of last year
Do you really think they'd have made that decision without consulting Papiss? Or is this just the mackem in you talking
This was based on the Northern Echo's story last week. It has since been retracted and they are now saying all parties are in agreement.
The original article was scathing of the club so I might just be being cynical but maybe some sort of agreement has been reached between the club and the paper. Strange.

Scott Wilson wrote it, who normally is pretty fair towards Newcastle. I was shocked whe I read it to be honest.
Papiss is over age for Olympic selection which means the club are within their rights to call him back from the Olympics. It might hurt but it's about the club and he has to be professional and just get on with it no matter what the papers write.
He gets an awful lot of stuff right. Reported RVP leaving back in March and announced all the management changes this season long before press, along with tonnes of transfers. Anyways a Ba tweet just from him today
'#PSG ready to activate the buy out clause in Demba Ba's contract. #Newcastle #NUFC #Football #Toon'
Make of that what you will
Oh btw Monaco vs Newcastle live on ESPN next Monday

That's the thing about the ESPN fixtures. I can only assume ESPN have info we don't know about because last I know the club hadn't confirmed these fixtures yet
As for Ba! Wouldn't surprise me if he went or if he did not.

Newcastle have seemed to be reluctant to release much info on pre-season friendlies but with it being on ESPN and the other club having confirmed ticket sales it looks very likely.

This is a Mail link sorry, but do any Coventry fans know what this guy is like?

I've only heard good things about him though
Hopefully the opposition will agree with the date change.

This means we will either keep both Dembas or Tiote in January

Good news for us
It sounds like NUFC have refused to release Cisse. I'm sure Papiss will be non too pleased with this development. Is it a wise move to piss him off?
